Braced against the wind, after donning an oversized oilskin and armed with a heavy flashlight, she battled her way across the courtyard towards the distant, rusting iron gates of the establishment. She had no idea what she would do when she got there and hoped to goodness that her suspicions were wrong. After all, de-fusing a bomb wasn't a subject she'd ever had a chance to study.
Approaching the mysterious bundles, her steps slowed to a more cautious pace. She was beginning to feel a little apprehensive about being potentially a few feet away from a volatile weapon. however, Miss Fern was not the type to let a tiny thing like that stop her. Hoping she knew what she was doing, she bravely ventured up to the closest mound. At first she was confused. Seeing the first mound close up, it had an uneven covering and a very odd shape. Blinking a few times, she raised her hand and touched it. the texture of sopping wet fur was quite repulsive, and she nearly leapt back with visions of some horrible creature suddenly rearing up at her. Keeping calm though, and with closer examination, she realised that this was just some kind of rug or throw, and not a living thing. Steeling herself for the worst, she grabbed hold firmly and pulled it back. Gasping, she couldn't believe her eyes.
