Welcome everyone, to my weight loss blog! This'll be OOC, with the occasional comment from someone else, along with tips, tricks, and healthy ideas for those who don't want to take short-cuts with their health! I'll be posting at the end of every week at the very least, and if I can, after each work out, and updating my progress as I go. My goal weight is 150 for the time being, as I have been invited to come to Fanime-con as a cosplayer, considering how well I placed at the Snafu-con Bachelorette auction. I don't want to go in the shape I'm in, so my eye is on the prize! Wish me luck!
Week 1:
Starting weight: 208 Ending weight: 205
1/19/11: 1 hour weight lifting, 1 hour Elliptical, 45 minutes pool laps Total Kcal Burned: 1735
The start of the school semester! Week one started with a single day's work out mid-week after a spectacular failure on the account of the jackasses in Admissions and Registration. I had intended to start earlier, but the entire week was 3 days long, and the rest of my schedule wouldn't allow it. This was a minor set-back, if not an infuriating one, which had me sitting in a medical waiting room for 2 and a half hours for some ink. Oh boy. I got a total physical out of it though. The actual work-out itself was a nearly 3 hour ball-busting extravaganza of pain and strange stares from the rest of the gym goers. Larger people generally are stared at in a gym, but I expected this. I was sore for 4 days afterwords. My classmates told me that I had effectively kicked my own a**, and I completely agree. That was bad. I have never had sore muscles twinge while sitting down before. My injured knee performed beautifully though, but I'm still going easy on it. The last thing I need is to re-injure it. I've started my gradual diet change, but it's hard kicking the habits when AMS puts pizza down in front of you. I splurged, I'll admit, and had a slice of vegetarian. It was DELICIOUS. I'm not going to beat myself up over a slice of pizza. Being super-strict with your diet inevitably leads to cheating, so be flexible with yourself.

Week 2:
Starting weight: 203 Total Weight Loss: 5 lbs
1/24/11: 1 hour treadmill run at 4.4 mph (2 1/4th miles), 30 minutes on the weights, 30-45 minutes on the full elliptical.
Total Kcal Burned: ~720
Holy crap, I am still sore from the last work-out! Work through it. You'll notice that I didn't go into the pool this time. I was taking it easy on my hair. The chlorinated pool is absolute murder on my hair, and I don't have a swimming cap. I'm a cheapskate, so I won't buy one. I tried one on once about 2 years ago, and I looked like I was wearing a condom on my head. I was surprised to have found that I still lost weight over the weekend, despite sitting on my fat butt the whole time doing research for my capstone class. Always encouraging! I've also noticed that I am undergoing some physical changes. I've already got more endurance and upper body strength, and I blame the diverging rowing machine for that. That thing whips my a**. It sets my entire back on fire, and for good reason. My acne has already cleared up thanks to horomonal and diet changes. The speed at which this happened surprised me. I went to put my makeup on this morning, and I actually had to take a second look. Suddenly, CLEAR COMPLEXION! It's nice to see such visual results already. Even my sweat isn't as stinky. My 'excretions' don't have a smell anymore either. Yes, I'm sure you all wanted to hear that, but it's a biproduct of dietary habits. The better smelling a poo, the better the diet. Get over it.
Until next work out, keep trying!
