The Summit
If only for a moment we could gasp for air, would we? Would we relieve ourselves of the pain now, at the cost of the summit?

If the pane is dull and sun is at the peak of the mountain, we fill obligated to touch its fiery tip at the summit. We gleam that we can understand the world there, that when we kneel before the peaks of the earth we nothing, but when we arise to the top, we see all. So we climb. We climb blindly, some unprepared, others well established, to get to the top to see what mysteries the world has prepared for us.

At the pane we the summit, touching the sky with a sharp knife continuously pointing to the gods. We see the others climbing in pairs, alone, in a pack or none do we all climb. If, what exactly, we reach the top, what is there to expect? What do we do once we've conquered this summit? Do we bask in the fame that comes along with the climb, or do we simply move on?

If a an equation was solved with addition, the complexion of the answer would not be so. To say, at the pane, we could capture the peak at the top with a fine tuning photo, with unlimited magnification, would we be content? Would we be glad to accept thats what it looks like rather than the experience? Or what if we train for years on end, to finally reach the summit ourselves, would be content with the time lost reaching there? If we could just, teleport to the top, in an instant, would we cherish what we have?

Life is to happiness as food is to taste. Perhaps, maybe by reaching the summit we can find the joy of marveling at we do not know, by overlooking what you had believed only by being at the pane. Some may find joy by observing through photo the summits gleam, accepting their place at the pane. Some may find thrill through the climb with friends or none with the chill of the breeze at their backs and their chins looking up at all times. Some may prosper by accepting their death on the climb, but staying at the pane would be a death unwanted. Likewise, we can find misery in the same place.

Would you relieve the pain to stay at the pane, or climb to the top to see its what you want not? If the careful climb came with glee, would you take it happily? What if desire came to aspire, and salvage what ambition we have yet for the summit?

There is not a simple answer to the summit, we spend our days wondering how much we should struggle, what way do we want to climb, or if we should bother climbing at all. In the end of the adventure, though, the sun sets above us all, and is up to us to find our place, on, on our way to, or below the summit.
