Personality:

Syrif is a “every man for himself” type of guy. He spends much of his time alone, usually chasing off other sea creatures that dare swim too close to him. He is very aggressive towards others and usually comes off as in a bad mood, but can be shy when approaching others. He is very wary of humans and is very insecure should he interact with one, although interacting with humans is a very rare event for Syrif.

Others would describe him as snide, a smart mouth, and apathetic towards strangers. He always has a snappy comment and is often sarcastic.
Gaining the trust of Syrif is a very time consuming process and not easily achieved, however once you do earn it, you will have it for the rest of your life – unless you betray him, of course.

Syrif’s mother was human while his father was a large grey reef shark, much larger than any normal shark of his species.

Skills and strengths:

•fast swimmer
•underwater breathing (he can also breathe above water for short periods of time)
•heightened sense of smell (only under water)
•sense of sight is much better than that of a human’s (including night vision)

Weaknesses:

•cannot stay out of water for very long
•the cold
