Sorry about this but I feel the need for a small rant today. I am a member of a breedable/adoptable thread and guild. Now this group had a special contest just recently for two super rare and special adoptables that can only be gotten in contests. Due to the rarity, one of the contest rules was that no one could win both adoptables in the same contest. We had one girl enter for adoptable A and four people enter for adoptable B including the same girl. It was a writing prompt contest. Now here is where it gets interesting. Ths first girl was clearly going to get adopatable A as she was the only one trying for him. Her entry for the female adoptable was lackluster and from the standpoint of most any serious writer or person who has attended strict writing classes did not deserve to beat any of the other three entries. Today however, the winners were announced and this girl had won both adoptables accoding to the thread owner. This was in a clear violation of his own rules and seems to show extreme favoritism. The girl did agree to co-own the less desired adoptable but the fact remains that the rules were broken for her when there was no reason or need for this to happen. It is infuriating as I was one of the participants in this contest and I would at least like to have lost to someone whose talent exceeded my own rather than losing because the girl managed to get the owner to break the rules for her. Makes you wonder, doesn't it?
