If life became stressful, then Paradise Fling was the place to go. Set up by a community of people wanting to support one another, it was a getaway in your own home. Needed a hand in dealing with a terrible break up? There was a support group all about the difficulties of relationships and the fear of loneliness. Has your family been pushing you beyond your limit? Go into the forums and talk with others who feel the same way as you. From being there for one another through the daily strains of life, to helping those get by the tragedies they suffered, Paradise Fling was a safe haven for many who found themselves feeling cornered, alone, and hopeless.
But for some, it just was not enough. At first the knowledge that they could find others who felt the same way helped a little, even obtaining them a small but close group of friends they could always rely on when times became difficult. Yet the repetition in life, the fear that these troubles will go on, that no change will ever occur, it became too much. Soon Paradise Fling was not enough, they needed real change. Not to simply talk about the change they wish could happen.
What they wanted was a real getaway, a chance to just rise up and leave everything behind, never looking back or questioning their decisions.
User1: Maybe we should runaway?
But they were nervous at first, treating such thoughts as jokes or wistful fantasies. Surely no one could ever abandon their life without consequences?
User2: If we really planned it out, it might work…
The more they talked about it, the more real the idea became. Soon what was a daydream became a small “what-if”, which in time grew to a “if we had the money” before finally arriving to the conclusion.
User3: Let’s do it.
They insisted that they could always bale, that they did not have to go on with the plan should any one of them feel regret. But no one seemed willing to quit. In fact, each one contributed in some way. One user suggested the place they could go to; a small, isolated town in the countryside where surely no one would find them. Another brought up the best route to travel on for it would be a long and tough trip. A third user suggested how much money they should bring, as well as the necessities for their long travel. Months flew by and before they knew it, they had everything gathered. They had the money, the tickets, the location; all that was left was for them to meet up…
User1: Wear all black when we meet up outside the train station.
