Before today, I wondered, like many others, if Nintendo would actually go through with placing "you know who" into Super Smash Brothers Brawl. With all the requests from greedy fans and fake screenshots as well as videos, Nintendo eventually succumbed and released him out of his cage of pending for the entire world of smashers to see for themselves.
We were given Sonic the Hedgehog as a playable character in Brawl.
This Sonic update falls under the lines of Snake, simply because we knew he would come and it was only a matter of time before screenshots and videos would be uploaded. At least with Snake, we had the very first video of the game actually tell us he would be in the game. With Sonic, there was nothing but requests and rumors.
Now, i'm sure we've all seen the recent Sonic games, and we all know that reviewers apparently have problems with the games, as well as other Sonic players, but should a few games really change our opinions? This is the fabled "fastest thing alive". He's been with us for 16 great years, giving us game after game of action-y fun times. Remember when he started his adventures? Remember when he gaind a mutant admirer who managed to look cute? Remember when he got a rival of a species not many of us have heard of before? I'm sure most of us thought "WTF is that?" to oursleves when we saw Knuckles and the word "Echidna" next to his name. Sonic 1-3 are legendary games, and the games that followed in the millennuium were fun as well. Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 were fun games, and hell, even Heroes was fun. Shadow was a good game gameplay wise for the Gamecube, but storyline would sometimes leave players confused. As for the recent Xbox 360 game, I have nothing to say about it since I never played it. No idea if I think it'll be good or bad whenever I get my mitts on it.
So, for those who hate Sonic simply for a few games in his recent years, shut up. 1-3 bad games do not make Sonic less of a character. Admit it, you still love him.
There are several good points to look at with this update, which makes Sonic quite a good update:
-For those who wanted Mario and Sonic to adventure with each other, you get your wish thanks to the Subspace Emissary.
-Professional players of Smash Brothers may have a new speed demon they can wield besides characters from the Star Fox world. Going outside the Star Fox series might frighten them though.
-The arrival of Sonic stages, items and even assist trophies are sure to follow behind Sonic (you could have Tails and Knuckles as assist trophies and have a fight in Green Hill Zone)
-Sonic using the items in the game (Mr Saturn, Fire Flowers, Hammers, Snake's Box and more. I would love to see Sonic wielding these, and I bet you would like to see Sonic use some of these items as well. )
-Bosses for the Subspace Emissary may come from Sonic's universe (Dr Robotnik/Grounder/Scratch boss battle!)
So those are some examples of what Sonic brings to the game. In conclusion, i'm quite excited. I can't wait to play as the Blue Blur in this game. It's gonna be a lot of fun fighting as Sonic.
Also, I close with the one thing i'm looking forward to with this Sonic update:
-Sonic the Hedgehog vs Diddy Kong Pay Per View fights.

Out of all the games I have played this year, Pokemon Diamond and Pearl seems to of blown them all away. The most fun I had with games this year was simply leveling and breeding Pokemon in my DS game.
As i've said a few times, I always enjoy a good Pokemon match, but what exactally is a good Pokemon match to me? Well, let me give you a bit of an idea, using a thrown together Q & A with me, and generic question askers 1 through whatever. Here:
Q: Can I have a battle with you?
A: Certainly. I'm always up for a good match.
Q: I have a legendary on my team. Do you?
A: No, but if you wish to use a legendary, I shall use my Mewtwo. That's how it works for me.
Q: I have 3 legendaries on my team. Want to battle?
A: No, you are dumb and I bet if I killed your legendaries, you couldn't battle for crap.
Q: I have a team of 6 legendaries. Battle me plz?
A: You are pitiful and don't deserve to play Pokemon. Good day sir. Oh, and *snaps person's Pokemon game card in half*
Q: I have no legendaries on my team. Care to fight?
A: Certainly, I will battle you, and you can have a cookie as well.
Q: What sort of battle rules do you like?
A: I like battles set to the level 50 All rule, along with the Single Battle rule. Single battle lets me use Surf, unlike Double battle, where I'm scared of using it. Once my team reaches level 100, i'll play anything goes.
Q: Any Pokemon you like the most?
A: You'll almost always see me using my starter Pokemon, Infernape. I switch from time to time when I think some part of my team is holding me back, such as my Mismagius, who never hit a thing with Thunder and dies after 2 hits.
Q: Why didn't you give her Thunderbolt?
A: Because I didn't! God damn!
Q: Where's my cookie?
A: Shut it! I'll go to Tim Hortons with you in a minute.
Q: Battle me plzplzplz?
A: INTERVIEW WITH IMAGINARY PEOPLE OVER!
So, yeah, that's my preferences in Pokemon on battling.

I have been pretty much obsessed with the Elite Beat Agents game recently. I found it suiting to try and make an avatar of who I should think everyone uses to begin playing the game (the leader for normal difficulty). Agent BA-2 "J".

Usually when I try to get to sleep at night, I come up with several different ideas. On the last night of sleep on christmas holiday before school started, I was just thinking of odd characters that are christmas related, and out of nowhere, I thought "Agent Christmas". Yep, Agent Christmas. A strange creature who comes out every Boxing Day and terrorizes locals who return gifts given to them from others. I made an avatar of Agent Christmas. With the Diamondback helm behind the BTK hat, the avatar costs nearly 12.5 million. No way will I make Agent Christmas unless I leave out the DiamondBack helm. Without the DiamondBack helm, it's 130645 gold. Not bad. Maybe i'll go for this next year:

Today, I went to Anime North! My first anime convention. It was freakin' amazing.
First, there was the line to get in which took about an hour or so. When my sister and I were wating, we saw these people in front of us and one of them had a bean bag plush which looked like Pikachu, but it was the dog Frisket from ReBoot when he rebooted as Pikachu for one game. We asked and then we got into a conversation with the people there. The ones we talked to were great people and it felt so good to find some ReBoot fans.
When we finally got in, we headed towards a panel drawing by the creator of VG Cats. People were allowed to meet the creator and ask him some questions. Here's what the panel looked like:

It was so fecking hot in that room and I was getting so tired.
Next we went to go find the Super Smash Bros Melee Tournament but I was not allowed to sign up. I had to sign up a day before or earlier in the morning. Bullocks. mad
My sister and I did so much shopping together. I found a bunch of Nintendo things as well. My sis and I got these Ice Climbers charms. I keep Popo and she keeps Nana. I also found a Mario doll and Sonic doll. While shopping, I found a book from a comic site I read called Dinosaur Comics which is here

The book just caught my eye because who could not miss a book that looks like a meat package with a T-Rex on it? Not only did I find the book, but I also met the author of the comics. He seemed more into his comic than the VG Cats creator. After shopping, my sis and I went to go get some dinner and we met some more friends who were friends with the first two people we met. I also decided to look at the multiple cosplays that were everywhere. Through the many hours I was at the convention, I found at least 20 Inuyashas, 30 Naruto characters, 4 One Piece people, and many fat people dressed in skimpy outfits. Cosplay is fun, but if you don't have the right body for the outfit, don't even try. I mean, if you are fat, why try to dress as this:

Overall, the convention was a blast and we are able to keep in contact with the people we met. I swear some people there are great people, but if you ever go to an anime convention like Anime North, I want you to follow my advice:
1. Be as fun as you want to be. Your supposed to be zany. Have signs with odd things on them, cosplay objects, do whatever.
2. Avoid the Yaoi people if you are not one of them. These people are the biggest fanpeople ever. They apparently are nuts about boy on boy romance things which is Yaoi. Overall, their squeals hurt and they are just creepy.
3. Don't cosplay Inuyasha. You will just be another one who can't think of something orignal like many others on Gaia.
4. Buy whatever catches your eye. You may never find it again.
5. Don't lose car keys. My sis and I lost ours. Luckilly, my dad brought us the other pair of keys.
I can't wait till next year! I'm going to stay overnight there at the hotel and I'm also going to be cosplaying. If you come to Anime North next year in Canada, you may see me. I might be cosplaying Fox McCloud from Star Fox and/or Bily Hatcher from Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg at the convention so look out for me.
