Llu'xdra's journey begins.
razz art 1:

XXXXX Upon leaving Ak'nooria, Llu'xdra crossed over many worlds, his travel was granted by his friend Varnnack. He arrived in a field of green, wind kissing the grass lightly and bringing a pleasant scent to his nose. Curious as to where Varnnack's portal had taken him, he began to wander about the land. He took in all of the new sights and sounds, the smell of the trees and the crisp wind that blew gently by him. However, it wasn't long before he sensed danger was close by.

XXXXX Llu'xdra stealthily crept behind a wall of large trees where he was able to hear the sounds of a chase and then a battle echo through the air. Peering out, he was able to catch a glimpse of 4 beings, one small child, and three men. The men were fighting, two against one, and the one seemed to be holding off the attackers with some difficulty. He managed to fend off the assailants and was keeping the small child safe from them. Llu'xdra took this moment to observe the child, the child was wearing a heavy cloak with a hood that hid the face.

XXXXX After several minutes of skilled fighting and a seemingly endless display of endurance from the single defender, the lone fighter was struck down and left to bleed to death on the ground. The two victorious fighters stepped towards the cloaked child cautiously, the spoke of their orders to execute the child for being a "Caster" in the name of their King. The dying man pleaded for the child to flee, to leave him and save their own life. The child refused to move, not budging even an inch, instead it became apparent the child was crying from the tears that fell to the ground between their feet.

XXXXX The two warriors raised their blades and charged to strike the child down, but the child simply pulled the hood off and stared them down. Llu'xdra focused on the child more heavily now, it was a young boy, with emerald green eyes. The boy shouted out as loud as his voice could go, "BURN!" and so did the warriors burn. Their bodies were set ablaze as if by magic, no matter how much they rolled around and tried to extinguish the blaze, they were unable to put themselves out. So did they burn to death and slump to the ground in smoldering heaps of metal and burnt flesh.

XXXXX Llu'xdra now understood why the boy did not use this power before to save the one who protected him. Lack of control. In addition to setting the assailants on fire, he also set the field and surrounding trees ablaze. Llu'xdra stepped free from the cover of the now burning trees, silently standing behind the boy and placing a hand on the child's shoulder. The boy whipped around with tears in his eyes and shouted again, "BURN BURN BURN!!!" but to no avail, the flames grew stronger and Llu'xdra was set aflame as well, but he simply waved it off of himself and pulled the flames from around them to his palm. "He fought bravely. You should respect his death, not grieve for him."

XXXXX The dying man on the ground smiled to Llu'xdra and shed a single tear, "Finally... you don't have to run, my child.. Please, friend... what is your name?" the man asked Llu'xdra through choking breaths. Llu'xdra leaned down and took hold of the man's hand, his crimson eyes staring into the man's dulling eyes. "I am Llu'xdra Arkanous, but others call me Fear." The old man nodded with a thankful smile before dying. The boy collapsed down to sob heavily into the man's chest. Llu'xdra gently pulled the man's soul from his body while the boy couldn't see and guided it into a ring he had taken with him from Obcasus before leaving.

XXXXX Putting an arm around the boy, Llu'xdra spent several minutes calming him before asking him a few questions. "Why were they hunting you down?" The boy replied by telling him that magic was forbidden in this world, under the King's orders. Anyone who used magic would be executed or locked away in the Death Box. Llu'xdra then asked the child for the name of the man who was defending him. "This man was my grandfather, Telechitus. A great warrior who won many battles for the king and served for most of his life." Llu'xdra leaned closer and whispered his next question. "And yours?" the boy stared into Llu'xdra's eyes, emerald staring into crimson. "Niyah Stargazer."

XXXXX Standing the boy up, Llu'xdra replaced the hood over the boy's head. "I swear to you, Niyah Stargazer. I will protect you. Until the very day I die, I will guard your life and teach you to control your powers." Llu'xdra took the ring which held Telechitus' soul and placed it onto Niyah's index finger on his right hand. "This is my oath to you, and my oath is eternal."
