Hello, sorrowful journal of mine.
I am Danica, your new owner. I hope you do not mind the all of the mundane things I write into you, nor that I shall pour into you all that takes place in this small little town. Shall we begin?
As I was weeding my tiny little garden, a black cat ran past and startled me. I took a step back and found that I'd just stepped upon a sharp piece of glass. As we have no doctor in this little town, I was forced to tend to it myself, and on my way to my house I discovered many more shards. All with my feet, of course.
By the time I'd made it back, my feet were all muddy and bloody. How I wish there was a doctor! Instead I had to settle for washing them off in the water pumped from the nearby river and bandaging them up with strips of cloth torn off of old clothes.
I do not think I will be able to do anything until they heal. I do hope that it wasn't the black cat that caused this...
*sigh* I hope that tomorrow may be better. Please hope for it as well.
