The night and day seem to have vanished along with the civilization on this Earth. It's a sad sight to behold, the other day I found what could have been the skeleton of a young Homo Sapiens Sapiens Novus, female, of about 4-years-old. Her hands were hugging what seemed a classic, our classic, teddy bear. It was completely heart breaking; alas, it is not in my job description to feel anything.

It has been 45 months, 3 days and 12 hours with 34 minutes since my team and I were left on this dimension. Although they died sooner than expected, I did not. The reasons for their death might have been LQP-79. The plague virus has and still is active in this Earth. For some reason, I am immune to it. For that reason, it is possible that I have yet to be 'rescued' by the federation that sent me here.

Well, if that is not the reason, and the actual reason is the artifact in this Earth, then I am sad to report that I have still not found that artifact. Yes, I have searched high and low for it, but there are no tall-tale signs that would say where it may be hiding. I do have in mind that it may be sleeping, making it more difficult to look for.

If you're a new personnel that has been assign to read my Logs, then I guess I should explain what this artifact is. Do know, that this is special information that only scientists and mission agents should know.

[THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS ONLY FOR PERSONNEL WITH RESEARCH AND/OR HIGH COMMAND PRIVILEGES. ANYONE ELSE DARE TO READ THIS WILL BE EXTINGUISHED.]

The Earth of Dimension E-042 suffered a mass extinction in the estimated year of 2103, due to the pandemic virus of LQP-79, causing what you would call a 'zombie' plague. This, along with the mass panic that it caused, were the primary factors for this Earth's extinction of any living thing.

When the out-brake started, the decision to place in quarantine full countries were being taken. This caused for those countries to attack in defense, sending nuclear weapons to the other countries. Unluckily, most of the nuclear bombs were made by LQP-79 infested workers who had yet to know that, causing not only an atomic explosion on their destination, but spreading LQP-79 -that had gotten immune to the atomic things by being created in an atomic laboratory itself- too. The atomic explosions not only attacked the humans, but it attacked the Earth in that area, making it un-fertile.

Soon thereafter, the Earth turned into a massive, atomic wasteland. With little to no survivours around.

Well, the artifact that the TASA Federation is looking for is called The Book of the Darkest Secrets. You see, our dimension -Dimension A-000- had had good connections with the TASA Foundation collocated in this dimension. The TASA Foundation informed that they had found The Book of the Darkest Secrets moments, if hours only, before the first case of LQP-79 was shown. It is possible that The Book of the Darkest Secrets had something to do with the mass extinction of Earth's living things. Not even the birds nor deep sea fish are alive, and the samples of soil we have collected show nothing but dead animal and plant cells.

Now, on to The Book of the Darkest Secrets . In our dimension, this book might be what the Aeghads described as their holy book. In their legends, the Ainfiyer Dini Mashtadden was a book that Ifghen ,their all-powerful god, used to write things down. It is said that it contained the recipe to create life, to cheat death and to become a god, amongst other things. Also, it seemed that in some legends, Ifghen also used the book to write down jokes and sorrow stories, much like a frustrated writer would.

Legends depicted Ifghen as a lonely humanoid creature. He created Earth to humour himself, and to feel less lonely. He also created the Ainfiyer Dini Mashtadden to express to someone about his life frustrations. From here came that the book was actually alive, it having a complete life system in the back cover, with a pumping heart and a thinking brain. But it's brain was not yet evolutioned, so it could not think at all.

Also, the book's design and body was a bit retarded compared to the simplest multi-celled organisms. The back cover had holes that would not heal, making the whole book a bloody mess of undeveloped organs and unused muscles. It did not have a face, just 2 eyes that did not have to function to open or see. It did have a spine, though, but it was on the side and was not connected to the brain in any ways, making it just another useless bones.

Well, one day, Ifghen looked down on his Earth, and closed in on one particular girl. He looked at her, and saw how happy she was with her pair. It made him angry, because he was not happy. In a state of rage, he created all things bad and threw them onto the Earth, writing their recipes and their cures on Ainfiyer Dini Mashtadden . This caused pain on all of Earth, not one citizen was saved from the wrath of starvation, illness and insanity.

After some time, Ifghen looked down on his Earth once again, and closed in on the same girl. She looked pregnant, but her pair was dead to her side, and her face had hollowed bones and all that. Ifghen scowled, loathing himself for such an act, and tried to fix everything that was wrong.

Just that, the evil and wrong was too much for someone like him to handle.

Ifghen then proceeded to create good people, intelligent people, brave people, noble people, and hard working people who would save the Earth from its premises, and then wrote down the recipe on Ainfiyer Dini Mashtadden . After this, he entered a deep sleep.

A brave warrior named Nanemfald challenged Ifghen , but he did not receive a reply. Nanemfald grew mad, and he had all of Earth's inventors to create a ladder high enough to touch the heavens. Nanemfald started to ascend the ladder, and after 3 days, he reached Ifghen's space. He grew to the size of Ifghen , and was able to hold the Earth in the palm of his hand. He looked around, and saw that Ifghen was asleep, and that to his side, there laid Ainfiyer Dini Mashtadden . Without second thoughts, he grabbed the book and descended upon Earth, returning his normal human size.

Earth entered a scientific and spiritual development faster than what it should have been. This created bad, intelligent people. Bad, because their level of reasoning had gotten to Ifghen's level, but, they thought themselves more powerful than Ifghen himself, and proceeded to rule the Earth and such.

After a few centuries, Earth was at its peak of medical, scientific and spiritual advances, when the humans started reading Ainfiyer Dini Mashtadden's chapter on destruction, cheating death, creating illnesses and the such. The humans, power crazed, started creating everything the book told them to do, and soon, they even started creating things of their own, writing their recipes down on Ainfiyer Dini Mashtadden in crude handwritings and stabs to the back cover of the book.

When Ifghen woke up from his long sleep, he saw that his precious book was not beside him. When he looked down upon Earth, he saw that the humans were at war with each other, whilst others were still dying of starvation, and others were being used to experiment and create the most vile of things. Ifghen frowned, and got angrier than ever before. In a bout of anger, he laid his hands on Earth's sides, lifted it up, and spoke to it in a terrifying, raspy and unused voice

"You will never be gods, because you are just as hateful as I am. You are all monsters, just like me, and do not deserve to live. The only difference between you and I is that I, at one point, did everything in my power to fix what I had wronged, and kept faith in my sleep that my children would continue their missions to create a perfect world without the dependence of someone and something to sustain them. Alas, this is what I have found after a long, deep sleep that I could not have controlled. I found traitors, animals that have re-defined the meaning that the word 'humanity' once held."

And with that, Ifghen proceeded to unleash even worse things. He separated families, brought slow, painful illnesses with no sense or cures, and killed every plant and animal -except the humans-. The humans that were worth saving were taken by Ifghen and placed on another small copy of Earth, but he froze them in the same day, making them live only 1 day of their life, so that they could not advance into being what the others had turned out to be.

After that, Ifghen retrieved Ainfiyer Dini Mashtadden and threw it across the universe -which was depicted as a dark room the size of a Walmart store- and huddled himself on a corner, and cried himself into a coma, ignoring the pleas and screams of help and pain that his Earth was producing.

Well, The Book of the Darkest Secrets is being suspected of being some sort of artifact used to channel living energy through its user, and depending on its user's mood (the combination of body temperature, tone of voice and breathing pattern) will the energy be positive, negative, or neutral. This is the scientific explanation, though. The normal explanation that philosophers within the TASA Federation is the one above, that the book is from a god, a lonely god.

But I don't believe that, it is not in my job description to believe or to have faith.

[ HOLY s**t, YOU WILL NOT BELIEVE WHAT I HAVE FOUND! It was just sitting there, right under my back pack! I don't know how it got there, but I woke up and there it was! UNDER MY BACK PACK!

I request a pick up beam from the TASA Fedaration right now, because I have found The Book of the Dar-!

“What's your name,' Coraline asked the cat. 'Look, I'm Coraline. Okay?'
'Cats don't have names,' it said.
'No?' said Coraline.
'No,' said the cat. 'Now you people have names. That's because you don't know who you are. We know who we are, so we don't need names.”

Stairway to Heaven

The spiral stairs dizzied me, but I kept going. The walls were thin, and every now and then there was either a window, or a candle lit. I couldn't stop, for I have seen ENOUGH of this sepia-toned world.

" Give us the charm!" Yelled one of the guards. I was running away from them.

The guards’ heavy foot-steps echoed through the thin walls of the tower. They were drawing nearer and nearer with every breath the girl took.

" No, as to it is mine! The gods gave it to me, so I have to give it back!" I yelled back.

" It belongs to the king!" Another yell echoed, their voices metallic as ever.

" It belongs to them!" I cried out. I tripped over a step, almost looking the charm.

The charm. Well, it's this heart shaped box, with a black leather-cover book inside. The inside of the box was draped in satin, but even with that, the leather-cover of the book was highly damage of years and years to come.

I stood up quickly, and gathered whatever I could from my dress' skirt, and started to ascend the stairs again. I ignored the temperature, it was dropping. I swore these stairs would never end! That when, I encountered a door. It looked old, like everything else in this world. I tried turning the old doorknob, to no avail.

I raised my leg, hoping my leather boots would forgive me, and kicked. The door swung open, and then with a loud crack, it fell off of its hinges. What I didn't expect was for it to fall out of the tower. Then I saw. The orange light started to flow down to me. There were no walls nor floor. Just a stair, made out of rusted, old and oxidized metal. At least it had a rail.

The heavy breathing of the guards was already echoing against the walls of the tower. Without further hesitation, the girl started to ascend the rusty, oxidized stairs. They creaked under her footsteps,  but worst of all, they moved.

Swinging from side to side, as a tall and thin tower would. The wind blew right through them, but, some part of the wind pushed against it. This whole ordeal was crazy! How the hell did I end up on a thing that looked like the stairway to heaven, holding a heart-shaped box!?!

I don't know, but I am definitively going to finish this whole ordeal. This heart-shaped box is the key to something very drastic, something that humans couldn't see. I just hope that the whole faith of the land and nation was enough for this to go right. I continued ascending the stairs, without looking back.

CREEEEAAAAAK....

I glanced down, and saw that the guards were already on the stairs. Too many of them, the stairs wouldn't handle much longer. So it hastily took my boots off, and started running up the stairs. On every few steps, I tumbled and grabbed the hand-rail, making the stairway swing violently. With anger, I ripped the bottom part of my dress’ skirt off, making it WAY easier for me to go up.

Higher, just a bit higher!

BANG!

My dress got wet around my stomach area. I looked down, and there it was. A red blotch was forming. Pain didn’t come quickly, so I continued running up the stairs. But then, it started to hurt. Incredible waves of pain went through my body, but I kept running. Running, until finally, the steps had stopped, in a rather abrupt way.

“ Take it already, it’s right on front of you!” I screamed, my body getting weaker. The vibrations of the guards’ heavy footsteps got more violent each second.

Nothing happened. My body was starting to curl up on itself, and the guards drew closer. I collapsed on the stairs, looking up at the sky. So sad and sepia-toned.

Suddenly, it opened. Like, seriously. I must have been hallucinating already, but the sky opened. It was like there was a rip through reality, and thing is, I could look through the hole. It was black, with millions of billions of stars in there. And then, figure peeked through.

“Thank You,” It said. I couldn’t see it, it shone light worse than the sun, but gentler. Can anyone explain that to me? Oh, and the corners of my vision was going black.

So the being extended a hand, grabbed the heart-shaped box, and took it. No more words, nothing. I mean, seriously. I was chased by a whole government, I was shot in the stomach, I am dying, and God over here didn’t even glance at my obvious need for a miracle.

But, the sky turned blue. A beautiful, vibrant, colour of blue, and the clouds puffy white. I could’ve stayed there forever. But, the stairway couldn’t.

CRACK

And I was falling, pieces of rust and metal below me and above me.

LQP-79, Deadly Virus Unknown to Humankind

Later on, it was found that the man that chewed the other's face down in Miami was, in fact, infested with LQP-79, a deadly virus that is yet to be found a cure. Said virus corrupts the internal organs of the host, causing internal rotting and hemorrhaging. At the second stage, the rotting surfaces out, appearing as black or grey blotches in the skin. The skin may smell putrid, or may not, depending on the genetic structure of the subject infected. In the final stage, LQP-79 goes to the brain, where it damages the frontal lobe and lodges itself in it. This ceases all reasoning from the subject, leaving LQP-79 to control the subject at its will. After incubating its viral parts, LQP-79 proceeds to die, leaving the other disassembled viral parts in the damaged front lobe of the subject. After some time of vegetating, the subject starts to attack humans, and proceeding to eat their flesh off, seeing as some of the components of the human flesh help the viral parts to assemble themselves. However, the subject does not seem to attack any other animal of the animal kingdom. It has been noticed, however, that the subject eats some grasses and leaves, but only in little to no amount.

After the viral parts have assembled themselves, they take action and leave their host's body via a rotten whole at the back of the victim's head, leaving as a odourless and colourless cloud, as if they were spores. And thus, the LQP-79 cycle has begun.

As of 03-||-||||, the nosocomical virus, LQP-79, has spread up to .0002% of Earth's population, which is considerably nothing compared to the previous outbreak of virus AH1NI, otherwise know as the "Swine Flu". It is estimated that, as of 17-10-||||, the virus is to have infested 1% of Earth's population. Notice, that this virus does not appear to affect animals, as opposed to AH1NI.

The nosocomical virus out-broke last year, on [DATA EXPUNGED], after a failed attempt to create a mind controlling substance over at the laboratories of the SCP Genetics, a government agency known to have found the cure to the AH1N1 virus. Upon further research, it was found that it was not an accidental out-break, but, someone broke into the facility and took a jar containing LQP-79. 2 days later, the virus was found to have infested various people around the area of Miami, Florida, USA.

The virus is not aerial, it travels through contact of infested objects or animals (including human beings). But, it does travel by any liquid means. It was found that certain areas of Miami's water sewers were infested by LQP-79. Later on, the area and the houses in that area were quarantined, until the Biochemical Disposal Team arrived and took matter into their hands. As of [DATA EXPUNGED] the area has been clean of any LQP-79's particles.

Do know that this is a privilege, and not a right to all of you readers. This piece of information on LQP-79 has not appeared on News, TV or (barely) the Internet in due of fear of causing Global Panic. This decision was taken upon the Government of [DATA EXPUNGED], and 1/3 of Earth's Governments have accepted said decision.
