Dramatic Break Up

You lied to me
Betrayed me
Crushed my weak heart
And all the sanity I had left
With your dirty decietful hands

My love,
You are not worth it
Everything we had
You destroyed

Then you wondered
Why crystal clear tears
Trickle down my puffy red cheeks
Why when you tried to hug me that one last time
I walked the other way

You are dead to me now
Good
You deserve to be
You have earned your fate
To rot in hell forever

You hide behind
What you really are not
You lay out the fake bate
And reel in whatever you can snag

Why?
Why are you so cruel?
Is life a game?
Was I, like everyone else in the world
Just a mere pawn in your game?

Well I quit
I forefit
I am no longer your puppet

Maybe the rest of the world only sees the mask
But I see you
Your true colors shine through
Your trickory no longer has effect upon me

I feel no resent
I feel no remorse
I feel nothing for you
Game over, we're done.

Or not to be
Afraid of the light?
Or the darkness?

In the absence of light
We become lost
We fall away from the path of reality
And become spellbinded by our own fantasies

When we see the light draw near us
Some of us run away

Beyond the light, lies the truth
Untangible, invisible and pure in every sense of the word
Then why be...
...so full of fear?

Acceptance, is the first
And hardest step
To leaving behind
All regrets in the darkness
By embracing the light
To moving on
From a past life
From a sin we have comitted
From anything we try so hard to forget

Those who are trapped
Alone, isolated, in the darkness so long
Are so desperate to seek
The smallest shard of light

That is why we sleep at night
The light disappears
Swallowing every trace of reality
So we can give into the darkness
And drift off into our dreams.
