I've always been a big guy. Ever since I was a wee lad and I started putting on weight. When I was 13 I weighed over 220 pounds. A year ago I was at my worst of 300 punds. Now I am 23 and I have started gettging on the track to losing it and becoming a hearty and healthy person.
Take a look at these pictures below.
That's me from ten minutes ago. In the last year I have managed to slim down to somwhere around the 240 pounds mark (I can't get any more specific, sadly, because I don't have any scales to weigh myself with at the moment). However, with just that, there have already been some noticable differences in the way I feel about myself. It's something that you can only really understand if you've had a lot of weight for a long period of time. You skinny people will never understand.
I have a realisation, though. I am always going to be a big person. I was wanted to be skinny, anyway. I just wanted to be able to not be put off by other people's snide comments or by the sight in the mirror.
My goals now are simple; to improve my fitness levels and to turn the last of my weight into muscle.
When I get my bicycle and weights back things should start flying. Until then, I have my jump rope and more determination and motivation than you could possibly know.
Watch this space, if you'd like to see my progression and watch me blossom into the raw, powerful person I know I am destined to be.
