Chapter 2
They opened the doors leaving the mall and walked into the daylight. it was Odd that at 3:30 in the afternoon there was no one in site in any direction. Sirens could be heard in the distance. Gunfire as well. The 3 nervously exchanged glances. Bruce was the first to speak
"i always thought this was a 'safe' neighborhood..."
"yea..i guess things change. huh?" remarked kyle.
Sasha was the first to notice a parked cab no to far from where they were. Without saying anything she headed for the vehicle.
"let's just go to the theatre ok?" Sasha said as her hand reached the car door. the two guys quickly caught up and joined her in the back seat. it had one of the passenger/driver dividers on the seat. and the driver was looking down at the wheel.
"hey, can we go to the theatre on 50th?" bruce asked
the driver didn't move. Bruce leaned right against the plexiglass and asked again
"hey...can we get to the..." he cut himself off as the driver turned to face them, his right eye and cheek misssing from his face. his left eye a solid grey with a white centre. the driver began to moan loudly and scratch on the glass.
As the three screamed and scrambled to get out of the car they suddenly noticed the empty parking lot wasn't so empty anymore.
