The stealthy killer
Clara's golden eyes scanned the empty village. Her paws kneaded the ground slightly as she became anxious. The silence and the possibility that 'he' whatever vampire it was, might be anywhere in the shadows was feeding her fears. "Where is he?" Clara whispered as her eyes darted from shadow to shadow looking for some sign of movement.
Ice did as Clara, and looked around in the nearby bushes, ready to get dodge Venom's poison infected knives, needles or whatever the sick b*****d would attempt to kill him with from the shadows. "You have to be ready... to avoid his projectiles... it'll happen fast and soon..." Ice said told Clara with a collected voice.
Venom cursed under his breath, as the princess got in the way of his target, the rouge vampire-society member; Ice. He wanted to take him out first, thinking he was the biggest treat in case of failure. He quietly moved towards his left, trying to get a better angle to throw at his old ally. He avoided everything that might have cause him to hear his movement skillfully, and kept out of direct view.
A growl rose up in Clara's throat as she moved her body around so that her side was up against the hut behind them and she crouched down a bit ready to spring at something...or away from something.

Safe at last..?
"Damn." Priest cursed under his breath as he gazed into the forest. "It's impossible to see where they've gone from here." He shook his head and paced back and forth a bit. "If they're in the forest we can't be sure exactly which direction they decided to go."
Ice said nothing in return, he only thought of how he by every passing moment was being carried farther and farther away from what he had been so close to obtaining. "What am I to do when we get there? How can I get myself out of this situation?" Ice's head was full of questions he had to figure out. Without noticing it, Ice unintentionally made the air around him slowly were losing its heat, making the already quite cold night even more so.
"Bah." Venom grunted at what Priest said, and darted past him and Blaze, Venom disappeared between the trees in the same direction he had seen Ice and Clara leave. "I don't need those two when it comes to tracking anyway." he thought with a wicked grin across his face. He followed the horse tracks of the horse he had smelled upon his arrival outside.
Blaze sighed as he saw his superior rush our of sight. "He's way faster than both of us. Should we still give pursuit?" Blaze looked to Priest for answers.
Clara let go of the horses reins as she wrapped her arms around herself. "Are you m-making it c-cold?" Her voice shook a bit as she shivered.
Priest shook his head. "Let Venom have his fun." He stopped pacing to watch as Venom disappeared into the forest. "He has had good luck at tracking people down. We might as well wait for his signal."
"Hmm?" Ice hummed, as he hadn't been paying much attention. "Oh, that!" he said, as he realized what he had done. He stopped his cold aura from growing, but he couldn't make it warmer just by doing so. The air was getting back to normal, gradually. "I'm sorry, I do that once in a while, especially when I'm not thinking straight enough. Containing this power isn't always so easy, I'm afraid. Are you okay? No frost damage I hope". His voice sounded of concern; he didn't mean to harm her.
"He is a quite good tracker, yes." Blaze nodded and sat down on the ground, waiting. He didn't like having to wait like this, but he was used to following orders, though he was quite high ranked among his kind.
Venom ran faster and fast, quickly accelerating to his top speed. He could smell the he was gaining on the horse and it's riders. "This was easier than I thought!" he thought, with a evil smirk, but he suddenly lost the the scent, as well as the track. Stopping completely, he walked back until he found the place where the horse had made a turn out of the road. He kept on running, as fast he had previously. His vampire reflexes and senses helped him a great deal, as he was able to maintain his speed, even through fairly thickened parts of the woods.
Clara blushed a bit and shook her head. "No damage." She smiled as Ayesha slowed a bit as they pushed through a wall of brush and entered a small village. The villagers greeted the two as they entered with offerings of fruits and other types of food. Clara shook her head and they backed away slowly. They spoke a language not known to Ice, but Clara understood what they said. She turned to Ice and smiled sheepishly. "They look to me as a goddess for my ability to transform into a panther. Try not to let it slip that you are a...you know what...they don't like your kind." She slipped off the horse and looked down at her feet. "I'm sorry about that."
"That's good." Ice said, relieved. As they entered town, Ice covered his head and upper face with his large hood, as well as other parts of his body where his pale skin could be seen in the faint moonlight. His cloak had served him well by concealing his identity and race before, it would do so again. "It's fine, I am used to hide. My race's repudiation isn't exactly along the best ones." he said with a low and calm voice, making sure he wasn't heard by any others then the princess. "Besides, people tend to be afraid of what they do not understand."
Clara nodded and smiled as she offered her hand up to him as the townspeople came to take away the horse. "They'll keep an eye on her in the forest for us." She took his hand in hers and lead him towards a hut in the back center of the village. The hut looked like all the others but as Clara pushed through the dark brown curtain into the hut I looked completely different.
It had a large central fireplace with dark indigo fire. It smelled of cinnamon and home made tapestries hung on the walls. There were rectangle stones on the ground around the fire with mats and thick woolen blankets. There was also a rock statue of a panther at the back of the hut. "You can take off that cloak if you want. Your pale skin wont matter in here." The purple fire was casting a strange brownish glow that didn't cast shadows only darkened the room. She sat herself down on one of the makeshift beds close to the fire to warm herself up. She was still shivering a bit from when Ice changed the temperature. She patted the bed next to her. "Come and sit."
He looked around himself with interest, he hadn't seen anything like this in a long time. "I suppose it won't harm." Ice replied and removed the cloak from his head again. His eyes glowed with sinister, blue light, though he didn't seem to be affected by it. Without a word, he sat down besides Clara, keeping his eyes on the many fascinating objects the rent held within.
She leaned back a bit putting support on her hands. She sighed breathing in the light scent of cinnamon that permeated the room. "You know much more about me than I do about you." She turned to look at Ice. "Why were they following us...was it because of me?" She stared into the fire for a moment before her eyes widened. "They were after you weren't they!" She sat up straight and looked directly at him, her eyes staring right into his. "Why." It was a simple word, but it was the key to answering every question that burned inside Clara's mind.
"Because the Blood Pack never forgives betrayal, that's why." Ice replied, and waited a bit before he added; "though, they might be after you as well, maybe you're a bonus, or maybe I am. I don't really who is their main objective to capture." The whole time he was speaking he looked around in the room, studying it with his glowing eyes.
Her brow furrowed slightly. "You betrayed them? Isn't that just a little stupid?" She crossed her feet under her following Ice's gaze around the room. She turned away from the comment she just made, realizing it was a little stupid of her to say something like that. "It's cozy in here don't you think? I've always appreciated the rough beauty of these tapestries that you don't get from actual thread." She sighed and turned to Ice to apologize. "I didn't mean to say you were stupid...I just meant that...well...three vampires against one isn't exactly the greatest odds."
Ice chuckled lightly. "I guess you're right.". He paused. "You thought there only was three of them?" he said, now completely serious again. "The three that were after us are only small part of the Blood Elite" another pause. "It's a miracle that I survived my escape from the vampire lands... however, I won't ever be safe again, for as the Blood Elite code stats; 'If one of a Blood Elite group should be judged for treason, his/her companions shall be his/hers executioners.'"
"There are more of them?"Clara's eye widened. "I can't believe that...to imagine you dead?" She leaned over and wrapped her arms around him in a comforting hug. She hugged him tightly against the coolness of his body. "I wouldn't want to think about that." She had only known him for a little while, and she didn't even know that much about him, but now that she knew he existed she couldn't imagine not having him around.
The hug came very suddenly on Ice. At first he wanted to push her away, but he ended up embracing her back instead. There was something with her embrace that softened him, making him feel less undead for once. "Thank you." he mumbled lowly. He let go after a few seconds. "However, you shouldn't worry. I am very much planning on staying alive."
Venom arrived at the end of the track. In front of him was a small settlement. He stood in the bushes outside the village. There was no doubt, his pray was inside one of those houses.
"Good." She smiled as someone walked inside the hut with a plate of interesting types of fruit. Clara nodded to the woman and she bowed and left the hut. "You hungry?" Clara offered the large plate of fruit to Ice. "They're delicious!"
"Er, no thank you." Ice said, hesitating a bit. "You see, I don't really eat that often..." he said, trying to decline the food as politely as he could. "I'm sorry."
As a man walked a bit too far away from his friends, close enough to where Venom stood, Venom struck. He threw a poisoned infected needle at the man. He fell over almost instantly. Froth were coming out his now-green face. Venom carefully dragged the man away from view.
"Oh. I forgot..." She looked down a bit as she set the plate down on the other side of her. Suddenly a man burst into the tent. He began chattering incoherently in his native language. "What!" Clara stood up immediately. A look of fury on her face. "How dare he touch any of them!" Clara spoke with the man for a moment in the strange language before he left the tent. Before he stepped outside he looked back and spoke two words in a broken English. "Protect us." Clara nodded gravely. As she turned to Ice. "He's here." Her voice was cold and flat. "He followed us the whole way. I was certain that having Ayesha run about might throw him off the track and give us more time." She shook her head and paced back and forth a bit.
Venom sighed. "What the heck made them sound the alarm, I killed that guy as silently and hidden as I know how to... no matter. My real pray will soon reveal herself." he fetched another needle, this one infected with a paralysis poison. It wouldn't kill, but it would make whoever it infect paralyzed from head to toe. He moved away from his spot, to another, giving him even better angle.
"Venom..." Ice mumbled. He could feel how his vicious, gloomy aura glowed from outside somewhere. "He's a stealthy killer, we'll need to move with caution. He might be anywhere out there in the dark bushes..." Ice informed her, as he moved towards the door. "You might want to consider staying inside while I take care of this." he suggested, not turning around to face her. He knew that it was easy for Venom to hit just about anything from wherever he hid, he didn't want to risk Clara by taking her with him outside.
"Your clan has all of them don't they, the ruthless fighters, the clever thinkers, and the stealthy ones." She shook her head slightly. She sighed as she looked up at his back. "I want to go with you. Two against one are much better odds. I can't let you fight alone." Her voice turned to a growl as she slipped into her panther form. She padded up next to Ice at the door and put her paw gently on his foot.
"It's not my clan any longer, " Ice specified, " but you are right. They have them all..." as he pushed the curtain aside, exposing the outside to their view. "I assume there is no ways I can negotiate you into not coming, is it..?" he said, trying one more time before venturing outside.
"Nope!" Clara grinned flashing her sharp white teeth as she padded out after Ice.
