RAGNAROK, chronicle of fire

“Word is, our people have been betrayed, but for what reason?”
“Icarius! Open your eyes boy!” “You knew it would come to this, the humans are afraid of our growing power!” “Yes I understand general Graterous, but why so soon?” “What have we done?” “Boy you are still young, so it is hard to explain this kind of thing, and I’m not sure you’ll understand, but humans are jealous of the dragons, for untold reasons, but now we must do what we must do.”
That was the last time I ever spoke, or saw general Graterous. He was the general of the platoon I was assigned to, and the day after he fell, in the first battle of the war known as Ragnarok. He fought courageously, his claws and fangs drenched in the blood of human soldiers. He didn’t fight because he wanted to, nor did he have to he wanted to observe a battle in the front lines, and research why humans are jealous of us. He planned to write a book with his notes, but he never got to it, but they are left intact in his mausoleum.
As for me, I was about 28 which is about 18 in human’s years. I joined the dragon army and have been training in the barracks of our military. I have been taught to wield a sword and other human made weapons this was a great challenge for me, being a full breed of dragon. Although, most dragon in Icaria are full breeds, we are all different in appearance no dragon’s body can do the same things. My parents were both full breeds too, my father died when I was young, he was one that went back to earth, but was killed by their arrows. He was a winged dragon, and his flesh was weak against piercing blows. My mother is still alive now, she is not a winged dragon, but can walk on two feet. I never witnessed the first battle of Ragnarok, but it is said that the first battle was the saddest scene of the war, because so many deaths occurred, and there was hate in every eye of the men fighting that day.
