The Immaculate
(This is a poem I wrote that gave birth to Eden. Read and tell me what you think. ^^)
Through the eyes of a sinner.
In your darkest hour
You call out for an aid
Begging to the powers that be
to come and light your way.
You crawl across the jagged floor
When your hope begins to fade
Searching for an answer
From the light that never came.
You look into my darkened face
To see there's no concern
"My My..." I speak so softly
"How the tables have turned."
I step quickly across the cliff
And you're laying at my feet
My heart begins to jump
You've finally been beat!
You look around
For a helping hand
But no one's here
For you are Damned...
Through the eyes of a sinner
I see only pain
And cowering at my feet
Is god's unholy saint.
Merciless yet merciful
Malevolent and cruel
You thought that you could win this
But it appears that you've been fooled.
For someone’s help
You begin to scream
But there's no one else,
It's only me.
You have it in your heart
The courage to fight back
But it's not enough to save you
And I know that you know that.
I embody to you
A dark destructive power
I begin to speak again
As we pass another hour.
Where are all the people
You'd give your life to save?
They refuse to face the danger.
They've sent you to your grave..."
When suddenly you begin to speak
The air is filled with sound
"Even if they've abandoned me
Today I stand my ground!"
"Pitiful mortal...
You were born to die.
That is why you are living now."
Comes my soft reply
You clench your hand into a fist
And climb up to your knees
Our hair begins to toss
In the foreboding breeze.
"You could never understand,"
You begin to rave.
"I'm glorified by those people,
The ones I'd so proudly save."
"They make me who I am
And they've given me their pride.
I will always have that
Even if I die!"
"You are such a valiant hero
And an idiot at best,
But now the games we've played are over
And You'll face my final test.
Here is where you make your stand
So rise and meet your fate.
If you win or if you lose
Today will be the day."
I stand ready to unsheathe my sword
As you rise for the greater good.
Your intentions are not to slay me
You'd save me if you could.
Finally our hour has come
The time for words has past
We both stand ready, one on one.
Now our swords will clash.
I strike your sword viciously.
You strike back just as hard.
I lose my footing on the ledge
Now you play your card.
You lunge at me your eye burning,
Your aim is sharp and swift.
My breath catches in my chest
And you knock me off the cliff.
My hand flies wildly as I drop my sword
And reach out for an aid...
It's funny and ironic,
This act had just been played.
Suddenly you reach for me
I can't believe my eyes.
After everything I've done to you
You'd still try to save my life?
"I am not a killer."
You whisper to the sky.
"I am not a murderer
And I won't let you die."
I look at you just speechless
My face contorted, cruel
"How can you want to save me?"
You are such a fool.
You begin to lift me cautiously
Because I cannot save myself
You're oblivious of my true intentions,
Of your trip to hell.
I look at you
You think you've won
But this Titan's clash
Is far from done
Now I am safely by your side
And you rise above my form
My body shakes as hard as yours
We're both tired and battle worn.
I stare at you through darkened eyes
With an ungodly sinner's face
You will figure me out soon enough
So I must act in haste.
As quickly as I know I can
I move to grab my blade
It's time to make my final move
To take a leap of faith.
I strike so hard that your blade breaks
And mine is on the brink
You look astonished and mesmerized
As I begin to speak.
"My sins may be a powerful ally
But they are a stronger enemy.
You thought because you saved my life
That I would set you free?
You truly are virtuous
Trying to find a better side,
But this is all there is of me
And it's time for you to die.
I tire of your empty threats,
And of your saintly lies.
I will kill you where you stand
Before I lose my try."
My blade flies back and lunges forward.
It plunges into your chest.
It screams, it sings, the evil thing
As it's dripping crimson red.
"I don't understand..."
Your voice is really weak.
"Is this what you truly want,
To rid the world of me?"
"Yes." I call through darkened eyes
"Your death is all I seek.
"I simply want to end your life
And now you're on the brink."
I kneel down by your side
And bathe my hands in you.
I satisfy my lust for blood
With nothing but the truth.
Your eyes are empty, once so calm
You skin is cold and white
Your soul is draining from your body
You've got nothing left to hide.
I softly kiss your face
Now my vengeance is complete
I taste a little drop of blood
Running down your cheek.
I guide my fingers to your neck
To a tiny silver chain
"This is proof of your destruction."
As it begins to rain.
I tear the trinket from your neck
Shinning bright and bold.
My first taste of innocence
Is tarnished silver and cold.
You gasp again, your life is leaving
Your taking in your one last breath.
Silent, I watch in fascination
As I behold an untold death.
Our hair is soaked
Our clothes are wet
Your glorious maker
Has been met.
I lay beside
And stare at you
Your eyes are blank
But azure blue.
You are dull and lifeless
I'm quietly quaking.
Your heart has stopped beating
I can't keep from shaking.
It's exciting and invigorating
Surrounded by ancient brush
To rise above your body
In the early evening hush.
It's amazing god would allow us
To control such things
The ability to take a human life
Is baffling to me.
Yet in the same instances
I cant control myself
I can forget the power
Or the joy that I have felt.
I can't contain my laughter
with the Hero first to fall.
I brush aside my long wet hair
So I can stand up tall.
I am full of ecstasy
My body feels complete
Here within my sweet nirvana
With death below my knees...
