Other: Aylin is quite loyal to her friends and family. She is known to have a mischievous streak pulling pranks on her close friends and the occasional human. Aylin has taken a vow to not return home until she feels she has properly mourned the death of Orrin, her human husband of fifty years.

Known Powers/Abilities: Aylin has the ability to fly, form a ball of light, knows limited pixie magic, and is very good with bladed human weapons and the staff. She can also bake breads and pastries, decorate cakes, and create art with cappuccino milk (though not very fast).

Limitations: While Aylin knows pixie magic, she is very limited in what she can do having been banned from using magic for five years as a child. Because of these limits Aylin prefers, and at times relies on, human weapons when fighting. When she does use pixie magic it has the tendency to backfire on Aylin with rather comical results. Aylin also has a tendency to be jealous of her younger siblings and how magic comes easier to them.

Aylin has a minor food allergy to parsnips that causes her skin to become red and slightly puffy. She also has an issue with alcohol because of her size. Aylin can become drunk faster than others. When she is drunk Aylin has been known to become very chatty with anyone around her.

Brief History: Aylin was born into what could be considered a noble family to the Air Clan of pixies on Gaia. She is fifteen minutes older than her twin brother Colin, four years older than her brother Patrick, and six years older than her sister Katie. At the age of four Aylin accidentally blew up a large mansion in Durem when she misread one of the ancient scrolls of the Air Clan. After that incident Aylin was banned from learning or using magic until she was nine. This in turn put her behind her siblings in learning and controlling her magic.

At twenty, Aylin joined the Air Clan military. For the next fifteen years she trained in the ways of the Air Clan’s military. At thirty-five Aylin left the military and her home in the forests between the Zen Gardens and Durem spending the next ten years exploring Gaia. At forty-five Aylin would meet Orrin Stewart the man she would eventually come to marry in a “fake” wedding ceremony in Barton and again in a proper ceremony in front of the Air Clan five years later.

After fifty years of marriage filled with travel and adventure Orrin died due to a long fight with an illness. In her grief and sorrow Aylin decided to leave her forest home and her family to mourn alone. Aylin vowed to remain away from her clan until she felt her mourning period was over. Taking up residence in Durem Aylin took a job at a small newsstand/bookstore/pastry shop eventually moving in to the flat above it and taking it over when the original owner died three years after she began working there. She has been a resident of Durem for eight years.

However, the adventuring bug had bit Aylin once more and she's since left her shop in the capable hands of her two employees. Looking for something to fill the void in her life and bring back the excitement of her youth Aylin returned to one of the many places she journeyed to in her youth before meeting her late husband Orrin. This decision, although not entirely her own, brought her to Porta Denia to pretty much start all over again even though she still owns her shop in Durem. After the situation n Porta Denia had been resolved, Aylin yearned for some sense of family. Yet, she was still not ready to return back to her home in the village of Almeria. Because of this, Aylin journeyed to Barton Town to live with her sister-in-law and her family in one of the small cottages the family owns.

Notes: Aylin has a natural curiosity when it comes to humans and has often spent days away from the clan’s home growing up observing them. In her flat Aylin keeps a small collection of bladed weapons mounted on the walls in her meditation and exercise space. As a part of her overall “business” look, Aylin has adopted to wearing bifocal reading glasses at times. She claims she doesn’t need them and that they’re just for looks but in reality Aylin doesn’t want to admit that her eyes are going a bit with age. The most common side effect to her magic going wrong has been two little horns on her head. Aylin has grown quite used to having the horns randomly appear on her when she messes up a spell.

Although she is technically the oldest and by right the heir to the family and the head of her clan Aylin has no interest in running the Air Clan. She easily passed the buck to her twin brother who was more than willing to take on the role as the family heir. However, Aylin will still readily represent her clan in diplomatic situations.

Senshi Origins: In the days of Gaia's ancient savage youth following the great war between the angels and the demons pixies existed as a singular undivided species of mystical being roaming the Gaian landscape. The pixies with no lands to call their own grew fearful of the growing human population and other races on Gaia choosing to live hidden from the other races on Gaia. With their magic still developing, the pixies had little way to protect themselves from the other races and even the gods and titans.

As the world recovered from the ancient war, a dark power began to rise upon Gaia. As the dark influence of Gaia's youngest son spread throughout the planet causing mayhem and war, Gaia called forth a group of female warriors bestowing each of them with a great object of light that gave them powerful magic rooted in the light to protect Gaa from the darkness. While some of these great warriors were creatures of the cosmos and others human, one chosen warrior, named Ailsa (who was a daughter of a member of the Council of Four), came from the tribe of nomadic pixies. Ailsa's object of light was itself the great treasure Ventus and the source of the Air pixies' magic. The pixies seeing that their great warrior had to forge an alliance with human warriors made the choice to come out of hiding and extended limited yet guarded relations to the humans. In protection of their greatest treasures from the darker powers rising up on Gaia, and seeing the dangers in having the four sources of their magic too close together, the Council of Four separated the four treasures each taking with them pixies who were born of their respective element to establish four new clans. With Ventus securely in the hands of Ailsa her father and the elders of the newly formed Air Clan created a decoy treasure, known as the Staff of Ventus, in order to keep the true treasure and Ailsa's warrior identity a secret. Only Ailsa, her parents, and the elder keepers of Air Clan history knew which was the true Treasure of Ventus. As the war against the dark influences of Nyx dragged on for years Sailor Alnair, as Ailsa was known, fell for, and married, a pixie soldier giving birth to a son.

However, as the global war waged on a new threat to the pixies, and the Senshi, emerged. In a ploy for ultimate power a dark sorceress by the name of Melinda began using beings of great elemental power to steal the four great treasures to gain more power and control over beings born of elemental magic. The first treasure to be stolen was that of the Crown of Fuoco with the Earring of Silva to be stolen next. Enraged, and laying blame to the Air Clan, the Fire Clan, allied with the Water Clan, declared war upon the Air Clan. As the War of the Three Clans waged on Melinda used the opportunity to easily steal the Rod of Fiume drawing Earth Clan into what was now known as the War Between the Clans. With all out war waging on Melinda made a play for the final treasure, the Brooch of Ventus The battle between the Senshi and the beast sent by Melinda proved to be far too much for the warriors and their first major causality in the war against the darkness of Nyx was Sailor Alnair. With her husband by her side as she lay dying Ailsa poured her remaining power into her object of light, that contained the true treasure of the Air Clan, before handing it to her husband. With her dying breath Ailsa told her husband to protect her object of light and ensure that it remain in their family so it could one day be passed on to their son until the one destined to inherit her power was born.

Upon learning their great warrior had died in battle the four kings blamed the human Senshi for letting her be killed. Breaking off what little relations they had with the humans the Air Clan retreated into the deepest recesses of the great forests to establish a new settlement and keep the remaining treasure safe. Relations between the four clans deteriorated as the kings severed their alliances and small confrontations arose between the clans over the next few centuries. Eventually, an extended period of cease fire and sour relations and negotiations lasting nearly a millennium left the Air Clan to defend the remaining treasure on their own.
