Everett, WA - The Everett Silvertips continue to roll in the WHL with an 8-1-0-1 (17 points) record and are currently in first place in the US Division. The Silvertips finished their busy four games in five night stretch with an important 4-1 victory over the Tri-City Americans on Tuesday night at the Everett Events Center. It will be a light weekend for the Silvertips as they hit the road on Saturday, October 21 to battle the Portland Winter Hawks at Memorial Coliseum in Portland, OR. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m.
SILVERTIPS LEADING SCORERS The Everett Silvertips are led in scoring by Zach Hamill (6 goals, 11 assists) with 17 points. The Port Coquitlam, BC native also leads the team in assists with 11. Rookie forward Kyle Beach (6 goals, 6 assists) is 2nd on the hockey club in scoring with 12 points. Beach along with Hamill, are tied for 1st on the team in goals scored with 6 and power play goals with 4. Currently Kyle Beach and Graham Potuer are tied for the team high in +/- with a +7. In goal, Leland Irving has posted a 7-1-0-1 record, 1.11 GAA, 95.3% SP and 3 Shutouts this season. Everett's new goaltender David Reekie is currently 1-0 with the Silvertips.
SILVERTIPS AMONG LEAGUE LEADERS Silvertips forward Zach Hamill (6 goals, 11 assists) is currently tied for 3rd in the WHL in scoring with 17 points. Kyle Beach (6 goals, 6 assists) is tied for 8th in the WHL in scoring with 12 points. Beach is also 5th in the WHL in rookie scoring with 12 points and the top 16 year in scoring in the WHL. Silvertips goaltender Leland Irving is 1st in GAA (1.11), 1st in SP (.953%), 1st in Wins (7) and 1st in Shutouts (3) among all WHL goaltenders.

VERSUS THE PORTLAND WINTER HAWKS Saturday night will be the second of ten meetings between the two US Division rivals. Everett is currently 1-0 against the Hawks. In their last meeting on October 14 at the Everett Events Center, the Silvertips defeated the Winter Hawks 3-2. Silvertips goaltender David Reekie picked up his first win in a Silvertips uniform in his first start with Everett. Kyle Beach, Peter Mueller and Jason Fransoo added goals for the Silvertips in the win. Last season the Silvertips posted a 7-3-0-2 record against the Winter Hawks and a 4-1-0-1 record against Portland at the Everett Events Center. Currently, the Silvertips are leading the all time season series against the Winter Hawks with a 20-9-2 (SOL)-4 (Tie) record. Everett is also 9-4-1 (SOL)-3 (Tie) all time against the Winter Hawks at the in Portland, Oregon. SILVERTIPS IN THE COMMUNITY THIS WEEK The Everett Silvertips will be active in the community on Thursday morning. Silvertips defensemen Jonathan Harty, Graham Potuer and forward Brennan Sonne will join Lincoln at Monte Cristo Elementary in Granite Falls. This year's theme is teamwork and the Silvertips will talk about the importance of working together as a team.
Come and meet two players from the Everett Silvertips Hockey team between 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm on Sunday (October 22nd) at the Fall Home Event at the Everett Events Center. The two players will be signing autographs and posing for pictures at the Abby Carpet of Marysville and Everett booth, #300.
Players scheduled to appear are Jonathan Harty and Graham Pouter.
Harty (Oromocto, NB) was the Silvertips 12th round selection (221st overall) in the 2003 WHL Bantam Draft. He is currently in his third season with the Silvertips and serves as one of the team's alternate captains. In his Silvertips career he has played in 121 regular season games. So far this season he has played in all 10 games and has 7 points (1 goal, 6 assists)
Pouter (Red Deer, AB) was the Silvertips 9th round selection (161st overall) in the 2003 WHL Bantam Draft and is in his third season playing for the Silvertips appearing in 101 regular season games. Last summer he attended the San Jose Sharks rookie training camp. He has appeared in 9 games this year and has two assists.

SILVERTIPS HOCKEY SHOW BACK MONDAY NIGHT The Everett Silvertips Hockey Show is back. Starting on Monday, October 23, you can join Silvertips play-by-play man Keith Gerhart live from the Everett Mall. The show will air live on Monday night's from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm on North Sound 1380 ESPN Radio. The new season of the Silvertips Hockey Show will start with a bang as Keith will have the 2006 NHL draft picks from the Silvertips. Peter Mueller, Leland Irving, Ondrej Fiala and Brady Calla will join Keith during the hour long show. The players will be available to sign autographs after the show.

THIS WEEK IN SILVERTIPS HISTORY On October 16, 2004 current Silvertips goaltender Leland Irving recorded his first career WHL shutout in a 3-0 victory over the Seattle Thunderbirds at the Everett Events Center. Irving made 19 saves on 19 T-Bird shots for the shutout. Silvertips goals were scored by Tyler Dietrich, Graham Potuer and Michael Wuchterl. The goal by Potuer was his first career WHL goal.
