Shizuo and Tom were on their daily rounds. Debt collecting was a booming business lately. Walking past Russia Sushi, Simon called out to them a greeting that also doubled as an advertisement. "How are you? Good day for Sushi, yes." Shizuo had to roll his eyes at the man's never tiring attempts at soliciting his damned sushi. Tom however thought it was a good time for a break. "How about we have lunch here? We've been at it for a couple of hours now." This was true, Shizuo was in need of a break after those last few stops. It never ceased to amaze and infuriate how idiotic people could be. "Yeah sure..."
Upon entering they were given the run down on the daily specials. They sat at the sushi bar and placed their orders with the head chef. Tom peered at Shizuo. "How have you been?" Shizuo didn't really feel like small talk. "Ah... same old..." Tom squinted. What a non-committal answer. "Really, you need to get out more... It's not healthy for work to be your whole life." ... Shizuo frowned. "It isn't... I just... you know how it is..." "No, you're a good guy... deep down." Sigh. "Do you have any suggestions?" "Um... go to some social hotspot like Sunshine 60." Shizuo made a face at that. "Full of skanks. Like a certain flea... " "Oh come on. You've got to give people more of a chance. There is a whole world out there. Don't box yourself in."
At that their sushi arrived with a flourish. "Just think about it Shizuo." "Fine fine." Picking up their chopsticks they dug in. It was good but who could eat sushi every day? Perhaps Simon could. Another answer decided to waltz in. Izaya had to get his daily fix of his favorite sushi after all. He spotted his favorite bartender / debt collector / victim of attention. Licking his lips he strode up between Tom and Shizuo confidently. "Oi chef. My daily order please." The chef having it already prepared and waiting by routine handed it over quickly with a smile. "Thanks!" Shizuo shifted in his seat. WHAT HAPPENED TO HIS ZEN LUNCH BREAK?!! Silently steaming, he glared. "What Shizy-chan? I've got to get my daily fix
! Would you like one? It'll open a whole new world of deliciousness in your dreary existence!" "I don't want anything you'd enjoy." "Ah Shizy-chan, you'll never know till you try~" "Huh whatever. Don't want it." "Sure you do~! You just don't know it yet." He grabbed a spare set of chopsticks nearby, flipped his box open, snatched one and stuffed it in Shizuo's face right when he was about to shout at him." "UMPHH~!!" He started chewing angrily. That dirty flea. The sushi was okay but he wouldn't admit as much to the b*****d. "Hey so how about it? It was good I know.. you don't have to tell me. Byeee~ Shizy-chan!" Izaya skipped off out the door.
Shizuo finished eating and couldn't hold it in any longer. "What the hell?!!" Tom decided to pipe in. "Just.. Izaya being... Izaya." He stated lamely. "Yeah I know.. the freak can't help but bother me on my break!"
