After I layed down to sleep; I waited for the mythical Sand Man to cast his spell and make me drift to the sweet land of wonderful dreams. I closed my eyes, but the face of a man who I had dreamt of before flashed through my mind. I quickly sat up and put my head in my hands as a cold chill ran down my spine. After I had calmed down; I layed back down and pulled the sheets up to my chin and staired out the window by my bed. The moon gave of a silver light that acted as a spotlight apon me. Finally I had drifted off to sleep.
My body started to feel cold like a strong winter wind had wrapped itself around me. "I am so cold..." I whined while my fingers searched for the sheets but I couldn't find them or the bed for that matter. It felt like I was floating. I opened my eyes to find that I wasn't in my room or anywhere in my apartment. My eyes searched the darkness for any sign of life or anything familer.
A form of a man, that was a few yards away, was slightly visible from the light of the moon. I stood frozen not able to speak or breath. My feet touched a cold serface but somthing else felt diffrent. The ground was soft and my feet begin to freeze. When the wind picked up I felt somthing more flowing around me; not my cotton night shirt but long light fabric and my shoulders were bare. In the slowly growing light in noticed what was around me. It was a long white gown and white cystals hung around me neck.
I could see faint out line of leafless branches above my head with their towering trunks seemed to cage me in. I could tell that I stood in soft white snow and that small snow flakes fell from the heavens. I turned my attention back to the man who was standing only a few yards away but everytime I look back at him he would be a little closer then before. His presence made my shiver in fear and I couldn't move or runaway. He moved ever so closer until he stood right in front of me. I looked up to see the most bueatiful green eyes looking down into mine. They were full of hate and anger. He was tall and dark and his long moon light hair blew around his face making it hidden for me to see. His breath made me shiver. I closed my eyes and wanted to cry. Why am I here? I thought. I felt his hand brush my shoulder and then up my neck. By this time tears of fear ran down my face. With his other arm he pulled me closer to him but I couldn't break free. His body felt like ice and I tried to move my arms but they hung limp by my side. I felt his icey lips brush agienst my cheek then on my lips. They were ice like but they made me blush and my cheeks turned red.
When he broke the kiss he looked me in the eye and whispeared. "It's time." Suddenly a sharp pain shot through my chest. I looked down to see warm dark red blood starting quickly pour from my chest and onto the white snow.
"Why" I whispeared. My legs started to give out and I fell into his arms. He picked me up and started to carry me. I stared up at him with my fadeing eyes but he wouldn't look at me. My sight almost turned black when he lowered me into freezing cold water. My eyes flew open as my skin started to tingle. "I dont want to die."I cried softly as he brushed my dark blonde hair away from my face.
"Rest now." He spoke in a soft manner. By this time the pool had turned to a dark crimson red and the water started to rush over my tear stained face. I tried to hold on but the water pulled me down and the pain in my chest was unbearable. I closed my eyes and sank to the bottom of the freezing pool where my body was preserved.
I quickly sat up and looked around my bed room. My sheets were on the floor in a pile and the sun looked like it had been up for while. I got up out of bed and started to change out of my night shirt and into my soft cotton dress. "It was just a dream." I told myself. My skin was ice cold and I walked to the window and opened it. The warmth of the summer sun did not seem to warm me as I looked down at the busy street below me. "It was just a...." I stopped. Sitting on the steps on the apartment house across the street was the man with the long silver hair.
