Peafowl

Mocking Feathers, Passionate Flames, Beautifully Deadly
User Image

Summon Description:
The Phoenicians are believed to be the first to have imported peafowl, and they transported them to Egypt. The peacock is mentioned in Greek mythology. It was the bird of Hera, queen of the Gods. One myth told of Argus, Hera's hundred eyed giant whose job it was to spy on Zeus and discover his trysting places. When he discovered Zeus with the maiden Io, Zeus changed Io into a cow to escape Hera's wrath. Hera saw through the disguise and requested the cow as a gift, and Zeus could not refuse her. She entrusted Argus to watch Io day and night so she could not be changed back to her true form. Zeus then sent Hermes, messenger of the gods and god of thieves and trickery, to recover Io. Knowing that he could not escape detection from Argus' 100 eyes, Hermes began to play sleepy tunes on his flute and one by one Argus' eyes closed and he fell asleep. Hermes then cut off his head. When Hera found Argus, she removed his one-hundred eyes and placed them on the tail of her favorite bird, the peacock. Peacocks are mentioned in the ancient Greek play "The Birds" by Aristophanes. Back in Biblical times, peafowl were exported all over the known world as treasure, and King Solomon brought many of them to Israel. In the ancient Roman civilization, peacocks were served with their own feathers as a delicacy and were prepared in many different ways. The peacock is also mentioned in one of Aesop's fables. In the story, the peacock goes to Juno (the Roman name for the goddess Hera) and complains that the nightingale has a sweet song and he does not. Juno replied that he has beauty and size. The peacock then asked what good was his beauty without a great voice. Juno wisely replied that every creature has its gifts and faults, and they should be content with them and who they are. By the 14th century, peafowl were spread throughout Europe, however they were not common and were only owned by the rich and powerful. The early European church looked upon the peacock as a religious symbol. The peacock has been and still is held sacred by certain Indian groups. It became the official national bird of India in 1963 and is protected by law in its native habitat.Although held in high honor in many societies, in certain cultures peacocks have been associated with evil. Their "tail" feathers have been called evil eyes. In these cultures it is considered bad luck to keep these feathers in the home, however they can be safely kept outside. In folk art, peacocks are often painted looking backwards at their tails. Because these feathers are renewed each year, this is considered a symbol for renewal. Cultures around the world often pair parrots, peacocks, and doves as focal points in Tree of Life designs.

Heran Crostin (Crown of the Peacock):
Heran Crostin is an ancient peacock that was thought to even be as old as the Greek God themselves. Story tells that this massive peacock was actually the pet of the Greek Goddess Hera. Heran is two times the size of a full grown man and with the gifts from Hera and traits from Argus, this peacock is a force to be reckon with. Each individual peacock feather being actually an encrypted eye, Heran sees all around him. Almost like a doujutsu. Heran have a telepathic bond with only certain individuals he chooses, he is able to tell the summoner exactly what he could not see regularly. Of course, not being as strong as the Sharingan, Byakugan, or other doujutsu, this peacock is able to see through many genjutsu and invisible things.

Summon Techniques:
Hera Gifts (Healing Artistry)
- Heran Crostin adapted to his owner's unique powers of healings. He has mastered all medic jutsu up to A rank.

Sashiki Yasou no Jutsu (Cutting Field Grass Technique)
- This is the ultimate peafowl technique. The peafowl would send it's tail of feathers into the ground. There it would quickly pierce any foes in the ground and then rise up only moments later to pierce land foes. These feathers are hyper sensitive and cannot be cut. Also, since they are hyper sensitive, any opponent trying to touch or jump off a feather would get pierced automatically hitting where they touched.
Rank: S

Hitodama no Jutsu (Disembody Soul Technique)
- The peafowl using this technique will look like they are dying. They shrill and then poof in a pile of feathers. Soon all of those thousands of feathers would gather up and pierce at the opponent. Also, in substitute, the peafowl could only turn a body part to feathers in a somewhat less powerful attack.
Rank A

Juuketsushitatsu no Jutsu (Inflamed Wings Technique)
- This justu allows the peafowl's wings to grow and start to flame. This flame can not be put out only be the peafowl and when the peafowl does release the jutsu, depending on how much the flames grew or wilted is how their wings are in the end. (ie: so if they flamed and grew 2 more feet and you release the jutsu, they stay 2 feet longer)
Rank B

Jouhatsuno Jutsu (Unexplainable Disappearance Technique)
- This jutsu allows all of the peafowl and summoner the power of invisibility. They could either stay completely invisible and attack or suddenly appear and then disappear to mess with the foe's mind. What separates this jutsu and Jouhatsuno is that this is a genjutsu. Meaning also that even if the opponent attacks in the general direction of the user, they would not hit them. This could not be kai'd or reversed.
Rank C

Datesugata no Jutsu (Flashy Appearance Technique)
- With this jutsu the peafowl could suddenly disappeared so fast that no eyes can trace. Only mere seconds later it would could be a few meters away or just an inch from where it was. Useful for attacking combos
Rank D

Haisou no Jutsu (Taking Flight Technique)
- This allows the peafowl and user to take flight for a while.

Cristina Mayfeather (Ears of the Peacock):
Cristina Mayfeather is the second highest peafowl summon. Being more of a woman of actions then words, her sly movements and rapid speed definitely proves that she is the second most powerful. She's more of a silent killer; an assassination of the sort. She is the one that did perfect Hitodama no Jutsu. She's a powerful taijutsus so watch out when you see her come out. Cristina had also noticed small affection from Elizabeth and accepts them with warm smiles. Elizabeth is actually the only girl that ever makes Cristina smile or laugh. Poor Elizabeth, though, for that Cristina does not really know how to show her own feelings back. It would be a wise idea to get both on the field for they have a powerful combo with Cristina's taijutsu and Elizabeth's genjutsu.

Summon Techniques:
Sunagakure no Taijutsu (Pi Qua Quan)
- Cristina Mayfeather has mastered all of the Pi Qua Quan taijutsu techniques and stages.

Hitodama no Jutsu (Disembody Soul Technique)

Ivette Gown (Feathers of the Peacock):
This is the 3rd of the peafowl summons. Ivette Gown is neither in the lower ranks and the higher ranks and she hates it. She is smacked down in the middle and would always wish to overthrow Cristina. On numerous occasions her burning passions has taken over throw and she would abruptly challenge Cristina to a duel. Of course, this always ended not so well for Ivette. Ivette's forever burning flame of trying to get better keeps her up through the day and helps her sleep at night.

Summon Techniques:
Katon Mastery (Fire Artistry)
- Ivette has mastered all fire jutsus up to A rank.

Elizabeth Carol (Mind of the Peacock):
Elizabeth Carol is a clearly the most gentle out of the 5. Her way is to take down opponents by the power of her mind rather then brute strength. Being the gentle nature girl that she is, Elizabeth has reluctantly fallen for the lover Cristina Mayfeather. She couldn't help whom she fell in love with. Many nights she had cried herself to sleep when Cristina would be summoned on dangerous missions. It would be a wise thing to get both Cristina and Elizabeth on the battle field for they have a powerful combination with Elizabeth's genjutsu and Cristina's taijutsu.

Summon Techniques:
Genjutsu Mastery (Illusion Artistry)
- Elizabeth Carol has mastered all genjutsus up to B rank.

Olivia Jones (Bill of the Peacock):
Olivia Jones is the obvious bad mouth of the group. The most newest recruit to the summon(it would be her 450th anniversary this November) and it's obvious. Still wildly immature she tries to intimate her opponents with her husky attitude and her condescending tongue.

Summon Techniques:
Konohagakure no Taijutsu (The Blooming Lotus)
- Olivia Jones has mastered up to the 5th stage.

Datesugata no Jutsu (Flashy Appearance Technique)
- With this jutsu the peafowl could suddenly disappeared so fast that no eyes can trace. Only mere seconds later it would could be a few meters away or just an inch from where it was. Useful for attacking combos
