Vexx was arested, we pick up in the police station!

Trouble! Vexx is arrested?!

a police officer slams his palms onto the interigation desk in front of Vexx, Maria and Venn. They jumped back a bit and surprised at the sudden movement. He scowled at them and then asked "Are you not, Vexx, Venn and Maria?" all of them replied in unison with no emotion
"yes, sir, we are"
"The same Vexx, Venn and Maria that robbed this town of its Ruby?" Venn was now angry, she would never steal no matter how desperate she was. Maria even glared at the police officer. Vexx hid his worry under a cool relaxed emotionless face because he knew that the ruby he held was the town's.

After several more tests, all of them were allowed to leave. When they got out into the streets they decided that it was time to leave. Vexx was clomping along happily in his red boots, as Venn romped along as well. Maria however silently slinked, shyly and slowly along with them. Vexx dropped back to talk with Maria "hey silent-san, you ok?"
"huh...oh yea....sorry"
"hey, hey. don't appologise...are you ok?"
"yea...fine" Vexx was consernd but decided not to press matters further. he caught up with Venn. She threw him a supsicious glance and then kept her eyes on the trail ahead, she couldn't help but think of Vexx as her boyfriend still.

Vexx shruged off the glance and walked, even though he knew that Venn still had feelings for him. Eventually Maria walked along with them, seeming more cheerful and more resolved. Vexx saw that it would be dark soon and told them "its time to set up camp" and so each had a tent for themselves. Venn complained that she couldn't sleep in the same tent as Vexx. Maria, on the other hand, just crawled in to hers and went to sleep.

The morning came and Vexx woke up to a strange feeling, it felt warm. He turned over and saw that both girls had crawled into his tent, he sighed in annoyance but made sure not to disturb them as he went for a morning hunt. Venn and Maria had built a fire by the time Vexx had returned, expecting his return and expecting food before anything. He had managed to catch 6 fish and 3 bore, having Arcanity really did help with the bores. He used a preservative spell to keep the bores fresh. He gave the fish to Venn to handel while he asked Maria to help him wrap up the bores in a cloth that would stop the blood leaking. The pair finished and turned to Venn who was cooking the fish.

Soon breakfast was ready, Venn had somehow made the fish more apatising than usual. Vexx was glad for the change but was somewhat suspicious that she had used magic to tamper with it. Nonetheless, morning travels went without event as did evenings. The three of them were becoming bored with camping and uncivilized meals. Vexx sighed and said to the two, annoying naggers "At the next inn we will stay for two days, after that, we have to get moving" The girls agreed, he knew that the Ruby would be found eventually but it couldn't be helped now. He had to keep it a secret.

As Vexx had promised, at the next inn they stayed. It was a comfortable place with many free rooms because of the dusty road that it was on. Yet the owner seemed a little richer than should be allowed for what would be a miserable exsistence. Vexx decided not to question the innkeeper about money but handed over a few gold coins insted. The innkeeper happily produced three keys, he looked back and the girls where almost ready to burst out with the question "Can we share one room? Please" their eyes begged him and they seemed eager. Vexx withdrew two coins and the Innkeeper frowned and handed over one key.

The room was huge and Vexx again had a troubled feeling that it may be too large. He was glad, now, that he taken the girls in to his room. Surely theres would've been just as big and quiet lonely to some people. He told Maria and Venn to behave while Vexx was out and reassured them that he would be back before night. Both Venn and Maria had agreed to let him go, Vexx nodded before leaving.

The Innkeeper was preparing a delicous meal in the kitchen as a younger man took over the counter, Vexx approached him and asked "Where is the nearest town?"
"Nearest town, its about 100 miles south-east of here"
Vexx smiled and said "Thank you for the information, buy yourself something nice" and he slipped the young man a gold coin. The counter-man hid it almost immediatly. Vexx grinned and realised then that he could buy pawns insted of using his stamina and power to create the worthless things.

Meanwhile, Maria and Venn were taking care of themselves. Catching up on a much needed bath as well as a proper meal. They wandered around the large room and tried to keep ocupied but it was hard with nothing to do, even though they had complained about missing baths and such, they found that they prefered being on the road where they actually had something to do aside from sitting around waiting for Vexx.

Later in the day, Vexx returned with even more backpacks and a few books. He hopped up the stairs to the room that they were sharing. The moment he enterned the room he could smell the perfume that he'd brought for Venn a while back, it was very sweet and spicy. Vexx's memories of how Venn was returned and he felt his gut wrench but he regained himself when Maria and Venn came out of the bathroom. Vexx smiled at the two, they smiled back and Venn asked "What did you get Vexx?" He reached in to his oversized backpack and reached for the books that he had brought, he showed them to Venn and she gasped. "Vexx! These cost a fortune, how can you afford such books?!" Venn was only getting angrier, Vexx calmed her and said "Money is no object, these books are important and i will need them if i'm too expand my magic" Venn handed the books back to him with more malice than intended.

Down stairs, in the dinning room, a bell sounded for dinner. The three made their way to the beautifully decorated, dinning room and sat at a mahogany table somewhat near the middle, a fawn cloth was draped over the darkened wood. The floor was a polished, shiny wood. The whole inn was very extravegantly rich and was becoming more and more suspicous.

The meal was recieved 20 minuets after the order and it was very delicous, with their stomach's ready to burst they grogily made their way up to the room and rested. Vexx sat in a corner and picked up a book, he opened to the contents and it showed many new areas of magic which he had not yet encountered. He grinned to himself and set about to learn the new spells and enchantments, practicing on several things. Maria and Venn were back in the bathroom and washing the grime off them.

As it approached midnight, the three grew tired and decided that sleep would be a good idea. Vexx was in the middle again with Maria and Venn either side of him, grateful for the company Vexx held his companions closer and they in turn snuggled up to him. They slept solidly through the night, content and happy.

The morning came and Vexx streched, Venn and Maria nuzzled Vexx in the deep sleep they were still enjoying. He smiled and summoned the book from last night, he found magic came to him easily at times, he opened the book up at the page he was on and continued to read. It was on shape-shifting and other such enchantments but thought it better not to try it yet.

A little while later, the girls started to shuffle and snuggle closer to Vexx, he tried to free himself and eventually was able to do so with out disturbing them. He tip-toed silently across the plush carpet and in to the pristeen bathroom. Vexx reached for the shower dial and turned it to hot, soon steam rised from the bath-tub. He stepped in. Closed the showercurtain over and began lathering his body with soap.

Downstairs, in the kitchen, breakfast was being made. Maria rose first to the intoxicating scent of bacon and eggs, complimented with sausage and alike. Venn hummed in her sleep with delight at the smells. Both sat up and rubbed the sleep out of their eyes before having a panic attack on the basis of where Vexx was. At that moment, Vexx appeared in the bathroom doorway, his taut stomach and slightly toned body was uncovered, regretably for the girls, his waist downwards was covered by a red towel.

Drool dripped from Maria's and Venn's gaping mouths as they wished as hard as possible for the towel to be removed, Vexx grinned at them and walked across to a screen, his backpack with him. He began dressing; a lovely cotton top covered his torso, a pair or red jeans to wrap around his legs and completed with high top converse on his feet. When he finally imerged the girls where talking in whispers about something, he smiled at them knowing that they weren't at each others throats over him nor would they be for a while.
