Okay. So my best friends and I all decided to take a trip to Washington D.C. today. We wanted to go to the Holocaust Museum. Well, we went around 4:30. Even though it closes at 5:30, we still had about an hour in there. When we first got there, we looked into going to the Permanent Exhibition, but it was closed (simply because it takes three hours to go through), that we were able to deal with. We went to the "remember the children" exhibit, and honestly, that was really amazing. I wasn't crying, but it did hit something... I just don't know what it hit exactly >< WELL! we left around 5:10 and then we decided to go to the Washington Monument. We didn't go inside, but we did hang around outside. It was actually really amazing (: When we left, we went to catch the metro back, but it took a while. Madeline was dancing around, playing the music on her phone. It was pretty hilarious actually. WELL! after we got back to Springfield, we got into Francia's car and then we started to head back to Woodbridge. WELL! Madeline suggested that we go into the HOV lane. The HOV didn't say whether it was going north or south, so Francia took it. That wasn't the brightest Idea -_-
The HOV was going north... BACK TO WASHINGTON DC! We didn't even drive there in the first place! We rode in on the ******** metro! I honestly knew where we were going. We were right next to the Arlington Cemetery. I knew my way around that area (simply because my mom and family got lost around there looking for the Arlington cemetery.) I told Francia to go down the street, across the bridge and then make a left hand turn. Well, the traffic was bad and she didn't turn left. So we ended up going to downtown DC. Honestly... you NEVER want to do that... especially at night. Its a set up for a ******** horror movie. There's a ghetto (yeah, I'm racist... stfu) and nothing but woods. Like.. its pitch ******** black and there's just woods and no cars, its a ******** two lane road.. its one of the scariest things I've ever had to experience. Well, we drove in deeper. First we spoke to this really nice lady who gave us directions and we ended up calling her twice. After we finally got out of DC Francia and I were stressed beyond belief and about to have a panic attack.
We finally got back to woodbridge and then nothing seemed to be going right either -_- Aside from actually going to DC and being IN DC... my day was pretty crappy... but we're going to do it again soon (:
