Trip To The Twilight Universe
Bix looked around the side of the tree, checking Caz, Gerry and Jenz weren't around. Silence.
'Okay, they haven't found us yet.' She turned to her friend Smee, and looked down at the very battered copy of Twilight she was holding. The two girls were on the run, from their three best friends. It was lunchtime at school and it had been Gerry's idea to try and steal their Twilights. Smee and Bix had escaped down to the pond, and were now hiding behind a tall tree.

There was a loud snap and several loud hisses of SHHHHH! Bix ran to a bigger tree, but halfway there she tripped over a root and her copy of Twilight flew through the air, landing in the pond. The pond, being at school, was surrounded by a barbed wire fence to stop students from climbing in. Bix leaned far over and reached for the book. When she couldn't reach it she picked up a long stick and pulled the book towards her, then picked it up.

It was soaked through and the ink had somehow dissolved, leaving all the page blank. 'NOOOO!' Bix screamed. 'DAMN YOU THREE! DAMN YOU!' She stopped when she felt an odd sensation, like when you put your hand over a plug hole and it sticks.

As this was happening, Smee ran over and grabbed her shoulders, shaking her. 'NO! THEY ARE GOING TO FIND US!'
Suddenly, there was a loud bang and a flash of light, and the two found themselves outside a small house with a red truck parked in front of it.
Smee was still shaking Bix, while Bix was staring open mouthed at the house. She quickly pulled a box of TicTacs out of her pocket and took out three, then knocked them back like they were drugs.
She tipped another four onto her hand and waved them in front of Smee, who stopped shaking her and also knocked them back like they were drugs. She almost choked though, when she saw the house in front of her.
'I think I swallowed a TicTac because I had four before and now I only have three...OME! Is that what I think it is?'
Bix just nodded.

"We're in the Twilight universe?" Smee asked again.
Bix just nodded. Again.
In a sudden burst of energy, Smee jumped into the air and clapped her hands. She emitted an evil laugh, her manic cackle filling the night. Bix 'sssshed' her.
"Don't want to wake her," Bix explained.
"Wake who?" Smee said.
"God!" Bix said. "Bella, obviously!"
"Oh my god!" Smee said. "It's like off that advert!"
"What advert?" Bix asked.
"THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS!" Smee cackled. She rushed over to the side of the house, and jumped headfirst into a large tree that grew parallel to the wall. Bix followed, jumping and landing on top of Smee with a muffled thud. After a string of profanities (which their friend Church-Going-Gerry would be annoyed with) they managed to disentangle themselves from each other.

"Can I have my arm back?" Bix whispered urgently.
"What?" Smee said. "Oh, yeah!" She handed Bix's hand back to its owner, (which she had been gripping before with sheer excitement) and began to climb the tree. Bix followed, breathing down the back of her neck.
Smee stopped with both hands on the window sill. Bix leaned over her shoulder, fighting to keep balance because her only foothold was Smee's big toe.
"Owch," Smee said, trying to shove Bix off her big toe.
"Sssh!" Bix said, and pointed into the room. "Look!"
Smee stopped squirming and looked. And there, in the room, fast asleep, was Bella.
"Dang," was Bix's first words.
"What?"
"She is pretty," Bix said. "Now we have no chance."
"No chance? At what?"
"Are you insane?" Bix said. "Wait... I already know the answer to that."
"Which is?"
"Yes."
"Carry on..." Smee pressed.

Bix knocked back two more TicTacs before continuing. "Well, we have no chance at getting Edward now."
"Oh. My. Edward!" Smee said.
"What?"
"EVIL PLAN COMING UP!" Smee said, almost falling backwards out of the tree.
"Which is?"
"GIVE ME A TICTAC!" Smee whispered.
"That is your evil plan?" Bix said. "No offense, but that is the worst evil plan you have EVER come up with! And some of the others were pretty bad."
"Shut up!"
"I mean, look at that time you managed to get your hands on some chilli crisps! Remember what happened then?"

"COME ON, BACK TO THE PRESENT CHICKEN-BICKEN!"
"Okay, fine," Bix said. "Let's hear the plan."
"Number one: We eat more TicTacs. Number two: WE CHANGE THE FUTURE SO THAT BELLA AND EDWARD DON'T FALL IN LOVE!" This statement was followed by a vicious cackle.
"OH MY EDWARD! YOU ARE A GENIUS!"
"I know you'd notice someday!" Smee said proudly.
Bix patted her friend on the head and turned back to the window. "Now, what to do with her?"
"That's simple," Smee said. "We, ahem, dispose of her."
"Dispose of her?"
"We marry her off to Jacob."
"And how the hell can we do that?" Bix said. She took out the bible from her pocket, (well actually, it was her copy of Twilight), and flicked through it. "Looking for ideas..."

Then she stopped. Time stopped. The Tictacs stopped rattling in her pocket.
"OH MY EDWARD! OH MY CARLISLE!"
"What?" Smee said.
"MY TWILIGHT IS REWRITING ITSELF!"
And sure enough, it was. The pages that had been washed of ink beforehand were somehow now filling with neat, typed, size eleven font. Probably Comic Sans, but you never know.

Maximum Ride Story Part 3
Fang's POV
I had no doubt about what I had to do. I had to take Max back to Iggy, for a check on the seriousness of her wounds, then if they were very bad, then she had to go to the hospital. The real hospital. Where they would find out about her wings... but there was nothing I could do. I wouldn't risk Max's health by not taking her to hospital if she needed it.
I got back to Iggy in five minutes, landing and running towards him. Iggy's sightless eyes looked up at me, and he muttered, "Put her on my coat."
I did what he said, wondering how he knew it was Max I was carrying and that she was hurt.
Iggy stood up from Jade who was covered in bandages, and came over to Max, feeling his way with a little help from Gazzy. He sat down beside Max, and skimmed his hands over her body.
"Hmmm..." he said, sounding doubtful about something, and I sat beside Max, holding her hand, anxiously waiting for him to say something that made sense.
"Not good..." he said as he felt her back, and ripped open her shirt so he could wash the wound. He then started to bathe her wound, which had bits of bark in it from when Max sat against the tree. He picked them out, and threw them onto the floor a little way away. He then pulled out some cream I didn't know he had, and rubbed it into the wound, and then bandaged it up.
"Now what?" I said worriedly, and Iggy looked up at me. "Does she need to go to hospital?"

Devil's Apple
Satin Nightshade’s POV
October 29th, 1894:

My boyfriend Geoffrey slammed the door behind him as he entered the house, so it rattled in its hinges. One day soon it will come off, I thought. He pushed his way into the kitchen, barging past my mother who sat in her rocking chair in the corner, and slamming his massive weight into the chair I was about to sit in. He said nothing about his day, nor asked about mine, but snapped, “Bring me my dinner.”

I walked over to my cooking area, which was actually a cardboard box with a small clay bowl on it, and placed a salad of chopped vegetables in front of him. Mother got out of her chair and shuffled to the door, even though she was only thirty and not that old. She always left when Geoffrey came home, because she deeply disapproved of my going out with him. She was right, and I should have listened to her. I was only seventeen, and already Geoffrey treated me like we were married. He used me in every way possible: I cooked his meals, cleaned his house and washed his clothes, all while living on the scraps of money that managed to come home after his night at the pub. He was the worst boyfriend ever, and he said that if I ever left him, then he would kill me.

“What the hell is this!” he shouted, pushing the bowl of food I had just spent an hour preparing off the table to smash onto the floor. He stood up and came towards me, a snarl twisting his features into a knot. How did I ever end up with a man like him?
“It was your dinner,” I said quietly, hurrying to clean up the mess that littered the floor I had cleaned only this morning.
“What? That rubbish! That rabbit food! I want meat! Why do you never give me meat?” he spat in my face, and his alcohol breath made me sick.
I leaned slightly away, and he saw, and slapped my face with his large hand. I flinched away, my cheek stinging.
“I asked you a question!” he shouted.

“We cannot afford meat if you spend your money each night in the pub,” I said quietly, waiting for the punch that was sure to come. I cradled my stomach so he wouldn’t touch my baby. I loved this baby more than anything I had ever known, and spent most of each day Geoffrey was away singing to her under my breath, and rubbing my growing stomach.
Geoffrey raised his arm and grunted, his thick band of muscle tensing, and punched my upper arm. I leant away quickly, and this made him angrier. He grabbed my hair, yanking my golden bronze hair backwards towards him. My head slammed involuntarily into his chest.

“What are you holding your stomach for, cur?” He whispered, anger saturating his voice. I was used to him calling me names, he did it everyday.
“It hurts,” I whispered, gritting my teeth against the pain. Maybe today was not a good day to reveal to him that there would be another mouth to feed in three months.
Geoffrey pulled my arms away from my stomach in one quick motion, and slammed his fist into my middle with all the strength he had. I screamed, and he did it again. I could feel my baby squirming with pain inside me, and yelled loudly, hoping that someone outside would hear. But it was pointless. We lived at least two miles away from the nearest house, and I couldn’t scream that loud.

“See if you will get me meat tomorrow,” he grunted, and punched my stomach for the third time.
“I can’t afford it,” I whispered, and he bellowed back at me.
“Don’t you ever talk back to me again! You do as I say!”
I nodded, and Geoffrey let go of my hair, and I crashed to the hard floor below. My head hit the side of the stone table on the way down, and started to bleed in one massive torrent of crimson. My ‘boyfriend’ ignored me. He sat down again at the table, and my eyes flickered closed.

I lay on the floor, my blood pooling around my head and soaking into my hair, until Geoffrey got up and left the room, slamming his way up the stairs and into our room. The door rattled on its hinges again and I heard a crash as something upstairs broke. Geoffrey had a very bad temper.
After ten minutes of lying on the cold, hard, stone floor, I had come to a decision. I was not going to put up with this anymore. I could no longer feel my baby move inside me, and knew that her father had beaten her to death, before she had even entered the world. As soon as I had recovered, I was going to leave Geoffrey, whether it killed me or not.

I lay my hands across my stomach, and rubbed my palms slowly back and forth over my dead baby. I heard the door open, but I was too weak to open my eyes, and it closed again. I heard light footsteps come my way, and someone kneel beside me.
“Aaah,” a voice purred. I didn’t recognise it as anyone from the village. This was definitely a male voice, and the man smelled sweet and cold. It was an odd smell. He leaned over me, and his soft breath swept across my face. I breathed in deeply, involuntarily.

The man opened his mouth, brushing his lips across my skin. I shivered and would have tried to push him off, but I was too weak now. I wondered if it was my scream when Geoffrey beat me that had brought him here, or whether he had smelt my blood. The vampire sunk his teeth again into my skin, biting deep into my jugular vein. I vaguely wondered what my mother would think when she saw my dead body at Geoffrey’s house, but my thoughts were cut off as I felt a slowing down of my heartbeat. It was then that the world faded into silence, and my heart stopped beating forever.
