There's been a lot of hot talk about the controversy surrounding the Iranian election/protests. The fact is, people just like you and me are out there fighting for the rights we enjoy and probably take for granted every day. Freedom of speech is so important and everyone should be able to have it; these are ordinary people, just like us! They go to school, they hang out with their friends at the mall, and go on sites like Facebook and Twitter!

There are ways you can help! I've compiled this list of links for you to browse through. The ones at the top are more news articles and things to get you up to date with the situation, and the bottom ones will help shape you into a savvy net activist. Even just being aware and spreading the word can help support the cause. You should never underestimate your power as a person! It only takes one to tip the scale.

Become a part of the revolution.

Don't identify Iranians by name, screenname, nickname, any name. You might risk their LIVES.

Do not encourage people to engage in violent behavior with the basij militia.

Don't, don't, don't publish your proxies publicly. Not only is Iran monitoring for them, but anyone can use them to do bad things.
