Well since my last journal entry that had links apparently got eaten by one of Gaia's server hiccups, here's a brand-spanking new one for all of you!
This entry especially goes out to my sister-in-law, Holly, who successfully came completely clean off methadone.. in the process, her system cleaning out appears to have turned her into some sort of sweets-making GODDESS! I'm not kidding here.. I only wish I could've posted the photos of the awesome chocolate-chip cookie cake MADE FROM SCRATCH, Chocolate and white marble cake, and the gorgeously bright homemade buttercream icing she topped her baby son's b-day cake with. It makes me all the more eager to loan out my cake decorator tips for frosting to her again to see what masterpieces she'll whip up! whee
Since she always asks me to tell her if I find any particularly awesome recipes, here's one dedicated to her that I found using StumbleUpon. All of you nifty DIY-ers should try this one out too, especially if you have little ones that love lots of color.
Cut Out + Keep : Rainbow Cupcakes
The site itself is also nice for all you budding DIY-ers that are just getting started or need something easy if you're just getting your feet wet.

Even though I KNOW it's fall, from the recent rain the air has chilled so much it feels like it's frickin' winter already. You'd think being born in the winter would make you favor it a little bit more..I do, but to a certain degree, and here is my list of WHY. *The perfect season for soups to be made, which is one of the recipe groups I breeze through. *The absolute BEST excuse to make Hot Cocoa for no reason at all, and people will love you for it. This is also a good season for brewing hot herbal teas. *If you havea fireplace in your home, this means you can finally finally start up a fire and curl up next to it, which leads to.. *TASTED MARSHMALLOWS, BITCHEZ! Put together this with reason number two on this list, and you have a winter heaven..and if you think that's as good as it gets, use the marshmallows to make.. *S'MORES! Nearly everyone loves chocolate, right? Chocolate plus warm, gooey marshmallows and graham crackers is a treat for the whole family. *Winter pajamas..cozy to wear, and for many, something that's hard to get yourself out of for the same reason on the weekends. *Heating systems..now if you turn them on, NO ONE has the right to call you a weirdo because it's FREEZING AND THEY KNOW IT! *Pillows and blankets...there's nothing quite like making a nest out of this and then curling up in front of an old-fashioned heater with good food and a book or movie.

Well, it seems like the doctors finally stopped delaying the surgery to remove the endometriosis-affected regions from my sis-inlaw, Holly. Good news and bad news on that part-good news: they finally got the surgery done. Bad news: They had to remove her appendix as well as one of ovaries and at least a third of the fallophian tube on that same side, and then REFUSED to give her pain medication. Assholes. stare But, she's come over to my folks place to visit and rest, and I have brought it upon myself to take care of everything not concerning medicine. For lunch I fixed her a delux turkey sandwich with pickles lettuce, tomatoes and a bit of mayo, and earlier I brought her in some wordsearch books and a pen to kill the boredom, as well as two pillows. Luckilly unlike SOME people in my family, Holly is very grateful for the help I provide willingly and because I want to see her treated better. Besides, why not do something for someone you care about if the opportunity arrives? You'll feel proud of yourself and much better, because you helped brighten someone's day. 4laugh heart

Well, the day before yesterday brought a delightful surprise to our back yard: our dog, Indigo has given birth to seven adorable pups. *sighs* Unfortunately... the runt of the litter, a small, snowy white pup died yesterday.*sobs* crying It has another white sibling, which I will adopt if it makes it to being able to walk..I think it will, seeing how big and healthy it is compared to the others with the exception of one who looks almost identical to his momma. Funy thing is, I ended up adopting one of the only females in the litter...hoo boy, she's gonna need to get spayed, QUICK. eek So, I've been doing what I can to insure the health of Indie (that's what we cal her for short) and her babies. I check up on them, give her extra food since she's feeding six, make sure they all have a spot to nurse and are on the blanket so they won't die from the chills, and just reassuring our honorary mom she can trust us to help her out.

Anyone seen that so-called "rocket" slowly heading towards Gambino's mansion? For the love of GOD people, for the last time it ain't a rocket.. T'S A ******** MISSILE! eek gonk *shits her pants* Oh my god.. I wonder how far the damage from the blast radius will spread..this does not look good! Shows how much Gambino loves his guests..but then again, it IS his fault we're all going undead on his a**. sweatdrop stressed And is it just me, or does anyone else wish they would've had the map changed to real time timing instead of two "gaia" days in one RLday?! I swear, I happen to like hunting for candy, but this is making it too difficult to really be enjoyed! Last year it only took like 15 minutes to find a piece per store, now I have to wait well over an hour per piece! LANZER, WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING! scream well, that's a first coming from me..aww.. I was hoping to get a full set too..

God, this month has by far been one of the best, and it shall only get better from the looks of what the admins have planned. The Halloween plot's really starting to creep me out though, hope I don't s**t my pants during the event xd . The battle poses that have been installed have been a real treat to us all.. makes me glad I joined Gaia early. I like the one I'm in now, I feel like my body language is saying, "You wanna mess with me?! You wanna pieca me?! COME ON, I'LL ******** YOU UP!! scream " *laughs*

This weekend was a family fishing trip to Grand Isle, the best southernmost fishing point in Louisiana, from what I observed. Also seems to be home to quite a few god samaritans as well, seeing as one guy gave us an entire net containing about twelve Poagies, (Medium bait fish best used for deep water fishing) and yet another guy handed over four Redfish, including one that must've had a minimum of at least twenty-five pounds under the belt. WAS THAT GUY OUT OF HIS ******** MIND?! eek Well, it could also have been, as he put it, " I don't wanna be the one cleaning these guys.." xd I had been trying my luck at crab-trapping, but unfortunately, hurricane Ivan had blown all the crabs out of the area I was using, according to a person renting a condo neighboring ours. But, the big pay off came this tuesday... baked Redfish and Croaker dinner... god, I am so addicted to seafood.. xp

New Orleans, my kind of city! XD |

Today was my once per three-month trip to visit Cecile Mannie, my psychologist who manages my anti-depressant and anti-anxiety meds. The trip there is always a bit slow because of the traffic, but it's worth the drive-by view when we cross the bridges on the way there. You feel like you're on top of the world from there unless you havea fear of heights, for you can see the tree and rooftops, the cars and people look like ants, and you get the best view of new billboards. whee Another thing I love about New Orleans is how many of the houses and buildings there have not been replaced and are still living, rustic antiques, each one more beautiful than the last. They also must have some natural born gardeners there, because the front yards and courtyards of each building looks like a living tropical paradise of it's own. I also adore shopping in the French Quarter during the day, but that will be a story for another day.

Yesterday was grocery day for me and mom, so it was off to the Wal-Mart Super Center in Northshore, Louisiana we went. I now havea new reason to hate the place's service. I woke up, only managed to get down agranola bar for breakfast, so I decided to buy lunch and eat it at the Radio Grill cafe that was usually open in our Super Wal-Mart. Well, it was closed down, and from the looks of the inside of the place didn't look like it'd ever open back up again..wonder what's going to replace it in there? confused So, I decided to do the next best thing, and grab some lunch from the Deli section. Popcorn Chicken and one of those cheap-a** apple pies you find in every MacDonald's Burger King and Wendy's. Only the damn popcorn chicken woulda been worth a s**t if it was still crispy and just a tad bit more warm. Instead, it was these soggy, lukewarm lumps of what I HOPE were chicken in a paper cup. Since I now had next to no where to sit, I went to the entrance area and sat down next to an elderly man, chatting things up with him as I ate and occasionally offered him some of the food since my appetite is relatively small. Turns out, he's an old classmate to my grandpa, Emanuel Bourgeois, and remembered him from the old auto-mechanics shop gramps ran from at home in this INSANELY large shed. I seriously could live in this if it was emptied out without many problems at all. xd So,he gave me his business card asa retired employee from Admiral Exterminators, and I was off, browsing about. It's a wonder I wasn't kicked out of the Wal-Mart for "loitering" as they refer to anytime I happen to sit down at all to rest my legs. I'm not a weak person, but usually in grocery days, by the time we've actually gotten to the grocery STORE, I've already hoofed about five to ten miles roughly. I was born to walk. blaugh Earlier, before we went into the Wal-Mart, we stopped by the Sam's Club, which is a sibling company, but from when I vist, at least in this state, both the customers and the employees are MUCH nicer. I would buy groceries from there for EVERY SINGLE TRIP, if I could. It's also a nice bonus that not only is everything affordable in there, when it comes to food and other items smaller than furniture, ya buy in bulk. And I mean enough bulk to last two, maybe three months on my appetite. Well, here's my prized bulk find for today: Land-O-Lakes Cocoa Classics Premium Flavor Set. This gives you six of what sounds like their best hot chocolate flavors availabe, many which I've never been lucky to encounter in regular retail places. You get six packets per premium flavor box, coming to a total of 36 bags. The flavors in the set (at least the one I have, maybe there's more..I hope whee ) are as listed: French Vanilla Double Fudge Caramel Mint Raspberry Supreme
I look forward to trying out the Mint, Caramel, and French Vanilla flavors myself, sinceI'm saving this for a little much needed pep on a cold Winter or Autumn day. My family looked interested in the set as well, so since mom paid for this one, I'll let the family have a set on me.
