The Every Dependable Waiting Family
I just stay here waiting, remebering... And yet, i still am hopeful. That one day we'll all be together again, as a family. Granny, Alphonse, Edward, and I. Please don't be stupid boys...
The first time I meet the Elric boys:

I still recall that day clearer then most of my early childhood. It was about midsummer in Resensbul when Auntie and Uncle Elric moved in at the old farmhouse across the field about a quarter of a miles walk.
But what really excited me was when my mama told me that they had a young boy my age! You see nobody lived anywhere close to us at the time. The civil war was gaining speed, and many men left to enlist. There families left the county side for the city, in hope of protection from a misplaced clash.
Granny Pinako told me how surprising anybody moved here at all, and found the Elric’s move quite peculiar. But her thoughts were laid to rest when she found out how formidable a drinker Uncle Elric was. Let me just say, they spent many nights chuckling downstairs in a drunken stupor. Grownups…
When Mama and Papa decided they might as well be polite and introduce themselves to the neighbors I begged to come.
“Papa, please! I really want to meet their boys.” When I was younger, I use to whine like nobodies business. My Mama and Papa both agreed with each other very quickly that it would be in my best interest to come along.
We knocked on the door. A crash was heard from inside the house, and then little shouts and screams, then, finally laughter. I looked at my parents to find they were as much as startled as I was.
The door opened. But instead of some towering adult at the door, there was a short boy with blonde hair and the most odd golden eyes covered in snow-white flour. My parents reacted, too my surprise, with a fit of laughter.
My mother’s blue eyes were filled with delight as she looked at the boy who now looked very upset at the fun that they seemed to find in him. “Hey, quite that now!”
His voice was a bit squeak, being about six, but still seemed to have a drive behind it. But this all just seemed funnier to my parents. They were such happy people, always easily put into a comical chuckle.
Before they boy could get any more shouts out a woman with brown hair came through the door with a rush. “Edward, you know your not suppose to open the door to strangers.” Her scolds seemed to calm the boy down, a bit.
She then looked up at us, first my parents, then me, and smiled a very kind smile I’ll never forget. I doubt Edward never forgot it either. “I’m so sorry about this. I’m Trisha Elric and this is one of my sons, Edward, and may I ask, are you?”
“I’m Emily Rockbell, this is my husband. And this is our daughter Winry.” My mother introduced us all, still with a happy grin.
“Hi, Edward!” I smiled sweetly hoping and somehow knowing we would know each other for a long time. “I hope that we’ll be able to play sometime.”
Ed rolled his eyes then said, looking quite pale with the flour still covering his skin, “I don’t think so. I don’t like girls, they have germs.”
HAHA! I was so mad but know that I think about it, it was completely hilarious. Considering how we are now!

Maybe next time I’ll tell you about my first kiss… or studying for surgery….
