I like this song. Honestly, I don't think I've heard anything like it. Janis' voice is very original and I don't think anyone should try to sing like her because it would sound bad. I hate it when people try to sing like the person singing the song sings it's their voice you can't imitate it and it makes you sound stupid. Just sing with your own original voice.
I like the lyrics it’s a classic love song (I guess) but it doesn’t sound like she’s feeling sorry for herself she’s simply saying that she’ll be there and that sometimes the best thing is right in front of you. If you are constantly looking for something new that you miss the thing, you already have. The people who are consistently there for you are better than the new exciting thing that will only be there during the good times. We are constantly looking for a new shiny item when the antique holds more value.
