All the promises and sacrifice
Seem to deceive her
The years pin a load of uncertainty on her
But yet she waits
Never this so patient in her life, never so willing
It's all she has to live for
She has nothing to lose anymore
She's lost her way and soul before
She sits, watching the pendulum drop
watching the days and months hit the clock
reminiscent contentedness, always reminded about...
But something inside of her keeps pushing
Pushing to fight against everyone else
To be content here is a disgrace
Unworthiness is unacceptable to her
Manic depression lingers and suicide is on her mind
Every second of every day
Just like the regrets she made
Just like the people she breathes for
She longs to just get up and leave
To get in the car and drive
Away from her home and state
To go somewhere with the people she can relate
because....
He sits, watching the pendulum drop
Watching the days and years hit the clock
Reminiscent contentedness, never forgetting about...
Music seems to bring them all together again in some way
Standing in the middle of the only thing that's ever stood completely
Complete positive light that's shined upon her
That's never deceived her and never did her wrong, no negative impact
As the same guitars start to play, as the sun sets across two different skies
two paths that diverged
two paths converge again
You never have to walk alone
You don't have to be alone.
