Arranged marriage, a notion that was known very well among the rich and powerful of the middle ages to keep the rich rich and the poor poor.

Surely no one in the modern day would continue such a ridiculous notion, right?

Well, not entirely.

Meet the Barnett family. An ordinary enough family from the ever-sunny California, USA. When their parents died in a car crash, they learned that they had been arranged with a family that some of the older members may remember vaguely at best. What's worse, they're being shipped off across the Atlantic for the nuptials!

The Crawfords are a wealthy family living in the countryside not far from London, with many of them coming and going at all hours and seemingly on business. Many are known both locally and abroad for one reason or another, but are also known for being a rather private bunch. Many avoid going out during the day, and if they do, they are more likely to when it's raining or overcast, or in thick protective layers. The reason? The Crawfords are vampires, and not only that, but they have been tasked with maintaining a supernatural underground within the surrounding area! It's bad enough for them that their parents were murdered by hunters, but to find that they've been paired with humans adds a heap of insult to injury!
