Adventure #10: Could it be... Love? (Part 1)
"Wake up, Adam."
"Huh? Who's there?"
"Me, Miyako. Get up."
I opened my eyes to see that we were still in the library. He lifted the top of his body, and grabbed her arm, pulling her towards him.
"Where's the book? Damn it, We need the..." I paused and saw the gory mess which she had done. He got up, and saw daggers on the ground, along with bloody bodies. I then looked at the blue-haired man's body. There were one, two, three.....twelve holes in it. Most likely her evil side took over her. I then looked her in the eyes. She had saved my life. I couldn't just say 'Thank you'.
"So, you did all of this for me?"
"Well, most of it was for you."
"Ah. Well, how did it feel to let it out?"
"It felt as if nothing could stop me. I felt invincible. Yet, for some reason, My body felt powerless withotut a partner." I raised my left eyebrow.
"Are you saying that I'm like a partner to you?"
"Well, you could say that. i mean, in the beginning you saved my life from that other guy, I think his name was Taroia. Well when you tried to save me again, I actually felt like you cared. Nobody really cared for me, except maybe my friend that lived with my 'mom'." I looked into the hallway. The book was in it. I walked towards it, grabbed it, and went back into the library. I then began flipping through the pages, next to Miyako. I had to show something to her to prove she wasn't just some blood-thirsty vampire. Finally, he found a page. He saw Daronia in the background, and vampire being slaughtered in it. Utterly disgusted, I slammed the book shut and took a deep breath. I looked at Miyako, who seemed to have done the same. I then had an idea.
Collecting a darkness aura in my left hand, i thrust it at the ceiling, maknig a gaping hole.
"Want to have a better view of the stars?" I asked. She seemed to be blushing at the slightest. "Sure," was her response. I picked her up, left hand supporting her neck and right hand supporting her legs, maknig sure she held the book. I then jumped through the hole and landed on the building. On the roof, the moon emanated a light on the ocean waters. It looked beautiful. I put her down, hid the book in one of my pockets, and sat down next to her. The building was empty, so there was no need to worry.
