Name : Koori
Age : 17
Race : Half-Human, Half-Demon
Weapons : Dual Swords
Personality : Quiet, Protective, Loyal, Caring
Appearance:
Human Form
Demon Form

“This is her?” Koori asked not surprised as his eyes scanned the photo of the girl. “Yes…your job is merely to protect her.” The boss said quietly as he held a lit cigar in his left hand and sat behind a mahogany desk in a dimly lit room. The room was empty except for an old dusty lamp and a table with several papers all over the table. Smoke clouded the boss’s face and the smell of the cigar lingered in the air. The smell was disgusting to Koori but he ignored it. “Let me remind you, if you fa-” “Yes, I know Suzaku…we’ve gone over this many times…if I fail, I will pay with my life.” Koori said impatiently. Even though it was serious losing your life, Koori heard the lecture many times. He folded the photo in half and placed it in his pocket. “Just send me there already. I’ll find her and do my job.” His boss smiled at him. “Alright then.” He held his hand out and slowly, a black portal started to form behind Koori. “Be careful.” Was all Koori heard before he closed his eyes and stepped into the black portal. Darkness was everywhere and it was eerily silent. The sound of rain slowly broke the silence and when Koori opened his eyes, he found himself in the forest. Light flashed everywhere and followed by the sound of booming thunder. Koori could feel the rain against his body which felt refreshing. Better then the old headquarters he's lived in for most of his life. The fresh mountain air was cold but had a delightful smell. The best of nature. “Trees…bushes and more trees… no way Suzaku would send me to a random spot in the forest… She should be around here…” Koori mumbled as he scratched his head with his right hand, the hand that made him different from the others. Born as a half-demon, his job was to keep the balance of the human world and demon world equal. And to do that, his goal was to protect the ones with the 'divine power'. He let out a soft sigh. “Guess I better start looking…no point in just standing here.” He was about to take a step when his ears picked up something. Someone else was close by. His hands drifted over the handle of his swords just so he could get into position.

Name : Saito
Age : 17
Race : Human
Personality : Caring, Optimistic, Quiet
Appearance: Saito

Saito sat in the tree enjoying the nice day listening to some music from his white mp3 he had bought recently. A small breeze blew off Saito's hat and immediately he reached out and caught it before it blew off. He placed it in his lap looking off into the distance. He was ditching class again. The thought of school sickened him. It's the same thing everyday, nothing different or exciting. All they do is make people go there, shove a bunch of useless information into their minds, and send them home again. The information the teachers taught was all easy. Saito was easily getting A's in each of the class. "Ditching class again huh Saito?" A familiar voice called from below. "Yeah, what about it Neku?" "You should just head to class, the teachers are complaining about you, how you're not showing up to class that much. They're doing more complaining them teaching..." "Hmph...big deal. It's pointless...all the teachers do is shove pointless crap into your mind..." Neku sighed. "Come on...do it for me. The last thing I want you to do is have them kick you out of school or something like that..." Saito sighed. Neku was his best friend, ever since they were little in elementary school. He couldn't deny him even if he wanted to. "Fine..." He said as he leaped down. He placed his black and white beret on his head. "Let's go." Neku said with a smile and ran ahead. He used his excuse to go to the nurse to find Saito. Saito nodded his head as Neku dashed ahead of him. "Class...yipee.." He muttered. Suddenly, he got a feeling that someone was watching him from somewhere behind him. Saito took a glimpse behind him and saw nothing. 'I'm probably imagining things..." He muttered and started to head in the direction towards school.

Name : Shouten
Age : 17
Personality : Quiet, Usually sad, Nice
Race : Human
Weapon(s) : Scythe
Appearance : Shouten

"Hmph...this is going to be great...once we turn this runt in, we'll be filthy rich!" Shouten sat there tied up against the tree with his dark hood over his head as he looked down. He could hear the men inside the tent enjoying and stuffing themselves with the boar they hunted hours ago. The soft steady patter of rain could be heard around him like a constant beat. His clothes were soaked and his pants were caked with wet and dry mud. He wasn't enjoying this one bit. His stomach was empty and he wished they could at least given him something. At least something so he wouldn't starve. Leftovers would have been great. Shouten gave another tug at his bonds. No use. His scythe was with those men and the rope was tight so he couldn't get free. He sighed and rested his head against the tree. His body felt tired when suddenly, a man came out from the tent. He was holding a piece of meat and Shouten's mouth started to water. "He's fine." He said. The man smiled at Shouten and held out the piece of meat in front of him. "O this? You want some?" The man turned and chucked it at his dog that was sleeping in the wagon. The dog quickly ate it, giving a satisfied look at its master. The man just laughed and walked back inside the tent. "That b*****d..." Shouten mumbled.

Name : Kenji Sho
Age : 17
Personality : Nice, Caring, Protective
Race : Human
Weapons(s) : Dual Samurai Swords
Appearance : Kenji

Starter:
Kenji ran through the bushes as fast as he could trying to get away from his pursuers. The moon had disappeared behind the clouds making everything dark, hiding everything under the shadows. Kenji winced as a branch left a cut on his cheek as he ran through the forest. His legs and feet were starting to ache. "Damn it...they're not going to give up.." Kenji muttered as he dashed past through the bushes and stopped. He was standing at the edge of a cliff with the rapids roaring below him. "A dead end..." He muttered. Kenji turned around as he heard the villagers appear from the bushes. "I didn't do anything wrong!" shouted Kenji as he slowly backed away. He was several inches from falling into the rapids below. "Yes, you did...you're the one who killed him..." His father slowly appeared from the crowd. "You got to believe me! There was another man there! He was the one who killed him!" shouted Kenji. "You're lying son...I can tell..." His father drew his red crimson katana. Immediately Kenji's heart was filled with sadness and anger. Why won't he believe me?!? Why won't he give me a chance to prove myself?! Kenji drew his katanas and prepared himself. His father leaped at him with lightning speed giving him a downward slash. Kenji barely brought his sword up in time but he stopped the slash. The high pitch ringing of their swords echoed as they met each other. They could feel the villager's eyes watching their every move, none of them wanting to interrupt. "Why won't you believe me?!" Kenji asked roughly. His father remained silent and slashed again. Kenji sidestepped and returned a side ward slash. His father parried his blow as if it was child's play and took the opening Kenji left. "I'm sorry son.." Everything seemed to slow down as Kenji watched the blade came towards him, knowing he couldn't block it. Fear...anger...sadness..it was all clear through Kenji's eyes. Everything was still. Kenji gasped as his father slowly pulled the blade out and sheathed his sword. "I'm sorry son.." His father said quietly, but it was all a blur. The voices became distorted. Kenji couldn't keep his eyes open anymore. He slowly closed them and his body plunged into the rapids below.

Name : Qin Lang
Age : 17
Personality : Humble, Caring, Kind, Tends to joke around a lot. Rough at first, but is kind when he gets to know you.
Appearance : Qin Lang

“Add in…first serve.” Qin tightened his grip on his racket and watched as a bead of sweat drop onto his hand. This was it, this was his last point. Qin watched his opponent bounce the ball several times. Qin could see the smile on his opponent’s face, knowing that he was close to victory. No…I’m not letting him win… The atmosphere seemed heavy and the other students stood at the fence watching who would win. His lanky opponent finally tossed the ball in the air. It was all slow, as if time magically slowed down. Everything seemed to pause…and finally his opponent let his serve rip. Qin quickly reacted and leaped to his right hoping he could stop the ball. He could feel his opponent grinning at his victory. Not now…not now…there’s no way I can get the ball…Qin slowly turned his racket so it was facing up. The ball immediately bounced high into the air. The loud screech of his shoes echoed as he immediately stopped as he sprinted to the base line. “Too late.” His opponent shouted. He had his racket back and slammed down an overhead at Qin. Qin reached for his left now hoping he could do something. It was too late. The ball had hit the fence and it was in. “Game.” His opponent said with a simple smile. Qin could hear the opponent’s teammates clap for him. Qin let out a sigh and watched his teammates cheer for his opponent. He had lost his match…again. Inside, he felt frustrated but he didn’t want to lose it, not in front of everyone. Qin started walking towards his stuff and placed his racket in his bag and slung the bag over his shoulder and headed towards the gate. “Hey, nice job out there.” “Yeah, good game.” Several people called out to him but he completely ignored him. “Man…I can’t believe I lost…that was my third time losing this season…” He reached in his pack and pulled out his cell when he heard a loud vibrating buzz. It was a call from his friend, Takuya. As soon as he pressed the button, he walked right into another person that came around the corner. Both of them fell backwards landing on the ground. “Owch…” Qin muttered.
