Choices

She had always had a choice; she had chosen not like Karen, she had chosen to stay in the rain to play ‘Labyrinth’, she had chosen to argue. She had been faced with many decisions concerning Toby that she did not wish to make and they all were because of him, the Goblin King.

He had given her so many choices between what was right and what was easy… and all those times she was so close to giving in. She had been a spoilt, stupid little girl who believed the world was fair and just, he had shown her differently and all she did was scorn him for it.

In the end, it all came down to choices and, though she made the right ones, she didn’t feel any better for it. Because, somewhere, in the castle beyond the Goblin City, Jareth was hurting and that made the choices completely and utterly wrong.
