The air was the first thing I noticed, it grew so heavy and damp, smelling faintly of minerals. In the distance the land went from gentle hills to flat green. Creeping ever slowly in the horizon was this slate blue strip of shimmering water. It was my first look upon the ocean in all of my 22 years of life.

I'm sitting here fresh from a shower and still feeling the tug of undertow on my legs as I type this, amazed at how wonderful the ocean is. The rushing waves, roaring wind, and clouds of birds where enough to take my breath away. The waves and there whitecaps looked like horses charging the sea galloping towards me. Everything was more than I had imagined it could be.

Needless to say, I had fun and I enjoyed every minute.
