I didn't know what to write until I found this picture (I'll show you in a second). Well after I saw that it just came to me and wouldn't go away. I don't think it's any good by I feel like putting it in here anyway. I don't think anyone still actually reads my journal but heh whatever. I once said I'd put stuff I write in here so I'm keeping to my word. Read on if you want to hear a short story I wrote REALLY late at night... or REALLY early in the moring which ever you prefer. Oh and just so you know....I'm really bad when it comes to giving people names, so just bare with me please. AND I also don't have a spell check.... so many problems..... Well if you read it I hope you like it. I am open to any comments, so even if you hate it let me know!
Sam stood next to Alex and waited for the train. She let out a sigh and looked down the tracks to see if it was close to the station. A cold gust of wind blew against them and she shivered. It was still early in the morning, but she could tell that they had a long day ahead of them.
"Are you ok?" Alex looked down at her. She could tell his thoughts were off somewhere else. She didn't want to worry him.
"Yeah, I'm fine." She gave him the best smile she could manage and he looked back up at the tracks.
"Alright." She knew he had a lot on his mind, so she figured that it would be best if she stayed quiet. She looked down at her feet and studied her shoes. The train let out a whistle that made her jump as it pulled into the station.
"Come on." Alex tossed his bag over his shoulder and walked onto the train. Sam didn't say anything, she slid her bag on her shoulder and followed him.
He led her past a lot of other people, most of which didn't even glance up at them. They walked further and further down the cars until Alex found a seat that looked ok. He tossed his bag in the rack above the seat and held his hand out for Sam's. She handed it to him and sat down feeling a little nervous. Alex sat down beside her without saying a word. She scooted closer to him but he only shifted away from her. She moved away from him and looked out the window feeling a little hurt. The train started to move and she watched as the trees started to rush past them. She looked around the car now, the yellowed floors were dirty and sticky. Most of the red seats in the car were torn up she looked down and saw that even her's had a rather good sized hole in it. The mustard colored walls had maps stuck to them when there wasn't a window. Sam glanced behind her sholder and saw that they had a window seat. She looked back around and stood up. Since she didn't want to bother Alex she decided to go and get a closer look at the car. She walked up and down the car twice but nothing really stood out, everything looked the same. She went back over to her seat and climbed up on it so she could reach her bag. She rumeged inside of it but feeling nothing that caught her interest she got down and sat back in her seat. She looked back out the window across from her and watched the scenery.
Sam yawned and stretched out her legs. Staring out the window was starting to make her a little sick, but there was nothing else for her to do. The train slowed down and the doors opened. She looked over at Alex but he just shook his head. She knew what he ment, they weren't getting off yet. She sat up straight and looked towards the door wating to see if anyone came to their car. The doors shut and the train started up again, she sighed again and slumped in her seat. She glanced out the window, the sky was just starting to darken. Sam turned to Alex and looked at him closely. He had his hands clasped and his elbows resting on his knees. His chin was pressed against his hands and once again he was lost in thought. She didn't want to bother him but she just had to know. She leaned back into her chair and started to study her shoes again.
"Are you sure about this?" She kept her eyes on her shoes not wanting to meet his gaze. She felt him turn towards her and watch her. He held his breath for a second before letting it out.
"Please trust me." He turned back and went right back to the same position without another word. Sam could feel her throat get tight.
"I trust you." She looked back out the window even thought her vision was too blurry to really see anything.
Soon the sky got darker and Sam's eyes started to get heavy. She tried to stay awake but she couldn't fight sleep any longer. Her eyes closed and she quickly faded out of the train and into a dream.

Alex looked over as he felt somthing hit his back. Sam was asleep and had fallen over against him. He sat up slowly so that she layed against his shoulder. He glanced around trying to bring his mind back to what was going on. He saw how dark it was outside and started to feel bad. He had barely spoken to her at all that day, she was probably worried sick wondering just where they were going to go. Alex looked over and realized just how small she was compared to him. He really should take better care of her, he didn't want anything to happen to her. Being so quite and not asking him anythink must have been really hard for her. As he looked away he heard her voice echo through his head, "I trust you." He looked back at her and started to watch her, she seemed so peaceful. He slowly moved his hand to her's and gently wraped his hand around it. He had, had a lot to think about that day, but one thing was for sure. As long as he had her by his side he didn't care where they were.
