Bedtime!
Anyway, today was the All District choir festival. >>; LONG day.
First 2 classes went pretty well. Normal stuff. Then came the rehearsing. We went in there, and had to sit in our assigned areas. Which was fine, really. If I'm just sitting there with them, it's fine. Singing with them is another story. For one thing, MOST of them think they're divas or something. They sing obnoxiously loud, and off-key. And it annoys the hell outta me. X.x
Then some of them plug their ears if they're next to me.(not to try to be on tune either. They think I'M the one who's off-tune. >>;. I admit, I probably am, once in awhile. No one's perfect. But they act like I sing SO horribly. They only plug their ears when they're next to me. >>;
Which is like WTF. It's no one who NORMALLY stands next to me, however, so that's kind of good.
ANYWAY...
Yeah. I'm also pissed off someone got moved to the higher choir, while I was told I COULDN'T. I have nothing against the person, but it still pisses me off. I was told I was GOOD enough, but couldn't because people had already started paying for the dumb trip. And guess what? This person got to do EXACTLY what I wanted to. And I wanted to move to the higher choir EARLY in the year, too. Early enough so I could PAY for the trip. And I couldn't, but they could? I'm detecting favorites here..
Yeah, back to the festival. We had to stand up and run the SAME piece for an hour and a half. >> It SUCKED. I was afraid my knee'd give out. X.x;
Next came our supposed 'break'. We were supposed to have one, anyway. But NOOOOOO, my choir had to reherse AGAIN. So, there was more standing. >>
Then everyone else sang, then it was lunch. Which was BORING, BTW. I was completely ignored by my friend, so I had to talk to my brother all period. X.x;
Did I mention I HATE being in a lower choir? X.x; Yeah. That's probably why I was ignored. A higher choir person can't be seen talking to the lowest of pond scum, after all. At least, around other high members.
Anyway, then it was 8th hour, and we went hope.
The actual concert itself went OK. It still gave me a headache, though. >>
Probably from the events beforehand. The damn kids wouldn't shut up! It was like, GAH! And they couldn't get the song we had to sing with them right, either!
So yeah. Hellish day.
