amusedwriter rambles
Things I write for no apparent reason other than to pass the time. Most stories have no endings, but contain an awful lot of meaningless dialogs. Other entries are basically boring life occurrences that have nothing to do with my stories whatsoever.
Wildwood Vacation is Done
I'm sooo glad I'm home! I must say that I did get quite burned burning_eyes . The pain still hasn't worn off. Shoulders and back the agony prevails.... unfortunately. I did hit some antique shops and they were within the Cape May area, so they weren't too far off. I found a great music sheet printing of the musical "Show Boat" (my dear friend going onto a Hollywood music and dance college would surely enjoy looking it over before she hits the road in August). I really wanted to find a reproduction armillary or astrolabe (because I'm extremely cheap and without substantial funding), but I could not find either within my price range much less find one that was a reproduction, because apparently antique shops in Cape May are too good for them. I also did not find a cameo set in silver crying which I've been looking for ages for. I did get to see the Victorian Lighthouse (from the outside...it closed) and they have a wonderful garden. The Cape May Lighthouse was great also, especially the concrete war barracks right out on the beach and the half sunk concrete "experiment" USS Atlantus. The theme park on the boardwalk was alright, but don't take my word, because I dislike crowded areas and lines anyways. Expensive food is the word to describe it, because everything costs at least 3-4 dollars more than it should. "Watch the Tram Cars Please" is still ringing in my ears long after I have heard it last on the boardwalk. Everything is in Neon lights. It's like a miniature Las Vegas with all those noen lights. Places as mundane as gas stations and restrooms had flashing neon lights to draw costomers like moths to the flame. And this is the greatest part!!! Our cheap condo rental (it was extremely old and smelled in certain rooms of mold...luckily mine did not) had a fiberglass sculpture of the stereotype of a Mexican (complete with sombrero, barefooted, colorful clothing, aannndd holding a little American flag.... like the ones they give to little kids at parades....it was poked through a hole they had drilled into the hand). He was leading his mule beside a fiberglass palm tree. I called the man "Pedro" and his mule "Jose". I swear to you I am not racist. I had to do it. They needed to have names. xd . They were so cheap looking that I actually wanted to take them home to save them from embarrassment, but we had no room stressed . I'm sorry we had to leave you behind, Pedro!!!! If anyone is vacationing in Wildwood, NJ this summer save them please! They're in front of a little white house between an ice cream shop and a neon lighted Subway (I kid you not). I'll post their picture later on my profile for you all to grieve of their loss to our fair establishment (I wanted them to sit by our pool sweatdrop ). Anyways I'm home and not tired what so ever, due to the 10 hour car ride eek , blast you Alan for getting us lost!!! I've written somewhat on the ride home, but still have not come up with a name for my brother character (don't suggest Jose or Pedro, Lydia, or I'll attack!!) I have one last thing to say .....I love salt water taffy domokun !!!

I SWEAR I wasn't going to, my crispy friend!
And pedro should have been holding some tacos! Then, he would be complete.
I can't wait to read what you wrote, and I need to come over soon! But now it probably won't be until the beginning of August because Ally's not here this week, she's at Onyasha, and the middle of next week i won't be here.... crying
But we'll figure something out!
