Hello everyone, and Welcome to Gaia! This is a really big place, and can be a little intimidating. I'm feeling a little Generous at the moment, so I figured that I would post some helpful links and Advice so that you can hit the ground running.

First things first, many of you joined Gaia because of the Anime and Manga theme. Many people on this site (at times myself included) will insult you for posting a thread in the wrong forum. So, if you want to talk about Bleach, Naruto, or any other Anime/Manga that you like, check out the Anime/Manga/Comics Forum.

You'll notice in some people's signatures, that they Showcase their Dream Avatar, the outfit that they are trying to achieve. They make these dreams into images on a Website called TekTek. TekTek also has many other useful tools, such as Profile Themes, Item Price lists, and a Gaia Toolbar. The Dream Avatar Creator can also be used to create an Avatar based off of a Person or Character.

Another Place where you can locate free Gaia tools is Golayouts.net. They specialize in Profiles, and they even have a Profile Designer, so that you can easily make a Customized Profile. I used it to make my profile. They also have Image hosting, although I prefer to use Photobucket for that. Most people who want to show off the Art that they have saved to their computer use Photobucket to get it on the web.

Now to the issue of getting gold. You all want lots of Gold, right? Well that's fine, with gold you can get a cooler outfit, just be sure you don't break the rules as you do it. By this, I mean don't Spam on the boards. Bumping isn't usually counted as spam, but some might disagree. Basically, if you are asked to stop doing something, do what's in your power to do so.

Another very good way to earn gold outside of posting is to sell your goods.
There is always a demand for Avi Art, as well as graphics, special Profile themes, and anything else that you can sell for Gold. Just stay true to your word, don't slack off, and you'll be able to use your talents to create a Virtual Fortune.

Also, if you have some real life money you would like to spend, Gaia's Monthly Collectibles are a good investment. The mediocre MCs sell for about 10,000 gold, and as time goes by, the good ones get more expensive. Just take a look at the lowest Buy Price of an Angelic Halo, the first ever MC. Yeah, you read all those zeroes right. MCs can inflate to astronomical levels, so I suggest you make good use of them.
