Chapter 1
Selene exited her cottage with her water jug. The pebbles were cool under her bare feet. She sat on the cold stone bench surrounding the water circle as she filled the jug with water. She quietly watched the still water. They said that some have seen their future in it. She was about to turn and leave when a faint image appeared on the water. The image broke but re-appeared again. She looked closely, trying to make it out...
'A boy...black haired....brown eyed' She noted to herself, the image broke before she could catch anything else. She waited for it to come back but it didn't. Selene quickly grabbed the jug and ran back to her cottage. Her little brother, Damien, was still asleep. She watched as he breathed gently. He still hasn't sprouted his wings and he looked so innocent. Her wings were almost full grown now that she was 17. Her little brother though, on the other hand, was 13 and his wings still didn't come out. She quietly placed the jug down onto the table before heading out again...She would have to ask lady Detelle what to do.
