Of explainations, and going new places.
Rose and Taran, and some explainations needed

Rose, seeing that Xangord was all right- almost too much her self again, had to let the others try to keep her down. The fact that Xink wasn't brought back with her undoubtedly meant he was in trouble elsewhere. But still, those things were beyond her at the time. Rose was on Dragon's ship still, waiting to try to help Dragon, if she was indeed still needed, but waiting, still.

Looking over, though, Rose's face pulled down into an untrusting stare, pointed to the Mage who had just returned.

"So." Rose said, moving away from the others and towards Taran. "My ship?" she asked simply.

Taran smiled a little nervously. "I... didn't think you'd mind. It was an emergency."

"Oh." Rose said, and glanced back at Xangord. "I suppose it was." A moment passed, before she added, "But I thought you were asked to get Xangord... after you took my ship."

Taran looked down at his hands. He didn't want to have to lie to her. But she, like n**, was one of those ones that were certain to get to the bottom of things if you let them see there was one.

Rose watched him, but he betrayed no feelings or thoughts. He was so outwardly cool. Too much so. They were friends, had been for some time now. She had once saved his life, and he had helped save hers. So why couldn't he explain why he took her ship without asking? It wasn't like she wouldn't let him use it if he asked. So... why?

Taran looked up at Rose, finally, and saw her confusion. And although he wanted to tell her, he could not. No one was supposed to know. n** knew, and that was more than he wanted to deal with. By all accounts, now that n** knew, he should cut all ties to the entire group and blend back in with the universe, unseen. But there was more here to be done, still. And if word got out, and he became a target... well, that's just part of the job he thought melancholily.

Taran shook his head. "We're friends, right?" Taran asked.

Rose, confused a little by the abrupt question, simply nodded.

"You trust me, right?"

Rose nodded again, though a bit more suspiciously this time. She could see the path this seemed to be taking.

"You know I trust you, too?" He asked, a bit of unsurity in his voice at that one.

Rose nodded, more confused again.

"Good. Then know that, while I can't tell you why, there was a good reason." Taran sighed. "I can't promise that something like that won't happen again. There are circumstances where I am responsible to... well, more than just myself."

Rose's eyebrows lowered a bit, not liking what she was hearing.

"Look. If it happens again, I will try to tell you, or leave you some kind of message. Okay?" Taran's plea was genuine. He really cared about Rose. She was one of the most interesting creatures/people he had ever met, and their friendship truly meant a lot to him. It went beyond his scholarly studies of interbreeding pedigrees. She was a lovely person.

Rose sighed. "That's... fine, I guess." Rose answered. "I don't understand, and I... well, I don't know."

Tuli, who had been nearby, started to project, "I kno-" before his sister shut him up.

Rose looked over at them and smiled. The gwee siblings were so cute, and very smart. Looking back at Taran, she took a deep breath.

"Look. Promise me that one day- as soon as you're able to- you'll tell me what is going on, all right?" Rose asked him.

Taran smiled, and bowed. "Of course, Lady Rose." His smile, though, once he bowed down, slid. He wasn't ever allowed to tell. A dragoon of his level- to a Dragon God- was not allowed to tell anyone that that was what he was without direct express permission from the God himself. Perhaps, in the eventuality of his death, he could make it so she would be informed. But until then... not likely.

Se'rox and Going New Places

Se'rox, having sat happily in the falling snow with Zuchax III for a few hours, was a little surprised when he lifted her up in his arms. He asked if she wanted to go somewhere with him, and she smiled brightly.

"I'll go anywhere you go." she said without a pause. Her response caught even her off gaurd a bit, and her face flushed. She felt ridiculous. And yet, she didn't really care. As silly as it seemed, she couldn't imagine anything better than this. Not even sight could be better than this.
