When Im here,
You yell at me for being here.
When Im not,
You yell at me for not being near.
When I answer,
Youre disappointed because I speak.
When I dont,
Youre disappointed because Im weak.
When I have a dream,
You tear it into pieces.
When I have no goal,
You say Im not needed.
When I need a rest,
You shatter my darkness of sleep.
When I work through the day
You yell and insult my work until I weep.
When Im proud of me,
You make my pride shatter and break.
When I have no confidence
You hope and pray that Ill sleep and never wake.
Now Im all alone with this fear.
I silently scream,
A scream no one can hear.
When I look at you I hate what I see.
You, that person in the mirror,
You did this to me.
