Mind of a Shadow
I'm not famous...but some people for an odd reason want to know a little bit about me... In time perhaps all will be revealed
(Skills Gained and Alliances Forged)

So it was. I snuck out during the day and aided our village guardsmen in both the discovery and protection of outer lands, to return at night to train with a legendary swordsman. As my body grew and I became stronger, I received praise throughout my village. When returning from an excursion, I'd bring home, jugs of water, fine wine, cheeses..even guns, ammo, and other weapons or tools. I found myself entranced with the other humans out there and the skills they focused on. Though I lived a life of fighting and danger, I made time to study the ways of humans in the newly formed town of Barton. By the time I was 17 I was well versed in English traditions and customs. I also introduced some of the Hunter styles to willing travelers. Later I heard they assimilated the style and created an order called "Slayers", I don't know much of that.

Anyway...so on my daily excursions I acted as a mercenary or assistant. My targets were always of demonic blood so I didn't mind assasinating them. Sometimes, though...it felt like a part of my heart died with my enemies. I couldn't explain it, so I ignored it. I gave lots of practice to the styles Falgus taught me. Soon even elder Dakari panther demons fell victim to my sword. I stalemated with Spikemanes but they never traveled alone, so it was a joint effort to keep them from attacking caravans. I kept myself garbed in black and veiled, I didn't want anyone to spread word of the Prince out with common humans. My trusted Elite Guard would share stories of home life and converse with humans. I would listen intently.

One of our caravan runs got surrounded by a collection of Spikemane wolves and Dakari panthers! The two had never worked together before, but something of what we were carrying bugged them. It seemed off...the caravan leader claimed to be a simple merchant, shipping weapons to a bazaar on the Isle of Gambino. Why attract so much unwanted attention? There were 7 of us, and 12 of them. Eight Spikemanes split evenly to pincer us, and four elder Dakaris guarding a rear exit. Surrounded by dangerous forest, there was nowhere to run.
