(Too Little, Too Late...)

Following my release and return to Princehood, I found myself obsessed with getting out and scouring the countryside. I also found myself obsessed with fighting. My father would catch me training in my bedchamber, which I guess made him happy to see me pursuing something. He had me train nightly with Falgus Dragonbane, a weapons master from the far Western regions and mentor to Gan Tuo. He was tall muscular man, fair skinned and brandishing a large moustache. He always favored wearing heavy metal armor and was deadly with a sword. He let me wield a version of my crescent blade, and the runed scimitar I originally chosen from the war room was locked away for me to reclaim on my 18th birthday...3 years of training. Kiwabare's words would sometimes pass through my mind, but I paid them no heed. Falgus kept me too busy whenever I wasn't being a political emissary of my father's will, or fortifying the borders of our village against potential dangers. Falgus taught me the saber style, a mixture of lunges, stabs, and pinpoint slashing. He said if I adapted styles like that to the flow and movement of a scimitar, I could be quite deadly. Days, weeks, months flew by. I grew incredibly strong, growth spurts kicking in. My four closest challenges, all brothers, grew in their styles as well. The family of Kage Oshizu was becoming a widespread tale.

Eventually, our village started to see tourists. Gaia was spreading, and explorers were observing the lands. They of course began to hire our Elite Guard for caravan and mercenary services. They wanted to establish trade routes in the years to come and wanted protection against neighboring Dakari panther demon clan and even the sporadic yet territorial Spikemane wolf demons. I often joined some of the Elite Guard in their excursions, with or without father's permission, to continue my passion of the outside...
