- At work the other day, I was in the middle of a rush, and like, NO ONE was tipping (cheap bastards), and I was still crabby from having to wear the tacky-a** orange shirt because the pretty blue one was dirty, and then...two ladies came up in the line. One wearing beautiful beads and charms. I noticed her immediately, and just her whole vibe was soothing.
I didn't feel quite so tired and cranky anymore. As luck would have it, I switched to register duties when it was her turn to be rung up. She commented on my necklaces (Pentacle of the Goddess, and Triple Moon pendant). I told her I'd noticed hers too. We exchanged smiles at each other, and I felt better the rest of the day. It's funny how making such a personal connection -even briefly- with a total stranger can lift your spirits.
And speaking of good things, I put in notice at GameStop. Next week is my last week. It's about time. Y'know, I've held on so long to that job, and I never even really knew why. Maybe I'll never know. But I know it's not good for me to stay...I figure when you actually debate on whether or not to smash your car into something in order to avoid having to work, it's time to leave. D:
So, leave I will. I'll still be at Smoothie King...at least for now. I really enjoy it. It doesn't sound like much of a job, I know, but if you like something...then why not?
I signed up for Netflix. <3 I was actually surprised at how well set-up they are. I've just received the Last Mimzy in the mail today, and I'm gonna get a shower, invite Colt over, and watch it. :B
