Zombies.
Corpses brought back to life by supernatural or scientific means that want nothing more than to devour human flesh. A simple creature.
How the hell did they get so popular? I personally love zombies, being a nerd and having a passion for Resident Evil since way back when. But nowadays you'd be hard pressed not to find someone who will say:
"OMG I LOVE ZOMBIES!"
Why?
What is so damn appealing about my undead friends that they've almost become another trend?
Zombies have been in Norse, European, Arabian, and African culture. Hell maybe more. It wasn't until George Romero made a fantastic movie about them that they started eating people and having a good time (Eventually getting their big break doing a little dancing for Micheal Jackson)
BUT STILL I AM CONFUSED! If you were confronted with a zombie, he is not going to want a hug and some light conversation. He is going to tackle you, rip open your chest cavity, and eat from the sweet all-you-can-eat-buffet that is your body. It doesn't matter who OR what you are, you gonna get eaten.
Then there's things like the Zombie survival guide out now, and people talk about what they would do in that situation. I've saved myself the time and trouble of doing that by having one, totally radical bad a** plan.
I'd just let one bite me, kill it, and then get the black box thats been waiting patiently for its day in my closet. A Kevlar suit, knee pads, elbow pads, running shoes, leather gloves with razors attached to the fingertips, a biker helmet, and a fat metal neck brace. That way when I AM a zombie, I'm going to ******** some people up. In fact just for effect Id want a leather jacket that says "ZOMBIE KING" in rhinestones on the back, I'd wear aviators, and Id take a burger king crown and glue it around the top of my helmet.
What can you do against that?
Not a damn thing, its Zombie King baby.
Maybe one day zombies will become less popular, and remember their humble roots in the forests of Africa and the voodoo infested land of Haiti. I can only hope.
Well...hope AND keep my Zombie King outfit nearby.
