Of Fevers and Mirrors...
“If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.”

The artist pulls away from his work table.
His studies tethered to him, a deep burden, he stretches and goes back to work.
-

The room grew cold.
He closed his eyes.
Pressing his fingers down on a frozen wall.
Without breathe.
He moved for air.
He takes a gasp for the air he reaches.
He opened his eyes.
-
In front of him was a mirror basking his reflection.
The knowledge of him to become that of whom he despises most, his father.
Chained down by an unbreakable course.
History shall always repeat itself.
Do not fear the next beat of this rhythm.
It will only be the same.
Like a mirror, it will always be the same.

A mirror is an object with a surface that has good specular reflection;

that is, it is smooth enough to form an image.
The most familiar type of mirror is the plane mirror, which has a flat surface.

Curved mirrors are also used, to produce magnified or unmagnified images or focus light or simply distort the reflected image.

And when he turned from the mirror.
On the desk he saw.
The reflection of his corpse.

“I believe that lovers should be chained together, thrown into a fire with their songs and letters and left there to burn in their arrogance.”
