I do not think the general public should be allowed to vote. Wait! Don't flame me, yet! Listen to my reasoning. Before you know it, you might think like me!! And won't that be grand?
Okay, so everyone who has reached voting age wants to vote, right? Well, how do you know they'll be smart enough to do so? With three simple tests! ^^ As follows:
The Literacy Test
The Common Sense Test
The Straight Line Test
No tricks, all very straight forward, I shall explain each one. ^^
The Literacy Test: One would be given the sentence "Did you know that he ate your bread?" And all the words must be pronounced correctly! No tricks, just read the sentence outloud. If they cannot do it correctly, BLAM! No vote! If they can, they move onto the next question. ^^
The Common Sense Test: One would be given the question "If there are ten birds in a tree and I shot one, how many would be left?" If they answer with none, then they can vote. If not..BLAM! No vote.
The Straight Line Test: A 5 foot long piece of masking tape will be stuck to the ground. One must walk on it from one side to the other, if they cannot do it, BLAM! No vote. If they can, congratulations! You're allowed to vote. ^^
Doesn't that make sense? Would YOU want people who COULDN'T answer these questions to vote? I wouldn't! Yikes, scareh though!
