1 Skye walked into the clearing alert. She took a few steps before stopping. "H-hello? I-I'm here for the program thingy. W-where do I go?" she asked and waited for a reply. The time ticked by as she waited in the silence. She was so lost that all this time she had been so stupid. Of course no one would answer, the clearing was empty. Anyone who actually was here would be inside somewhere. Skye began to wander off alone into the forest again. She felt sweat running down her hands. She began to panic and question this whole programs existence. She covered her mouth to prevent herself from screaming in confusion. All she wanted was to not be alone. Skye suddenly stopped when a horrible stench got to her. It smelled of blood. She grasped her nose, but curiosity got to her as she went after the smell, hoping it was someone she could at least relate to. Skye followed the stench for quite some time. It led her all the way to a clearing. She walked past a bush and became face to face with a bunch of people. Not just people, ogres, too. Bloodthirsty, by the looks of it, they were all engaged in combat. She took a step forward, about to join the fight, when she broke a stick under her foot. They all stared at her. Skye silently lifted a dagger from her pocket and held it behind her back waiting for someone to move. She then turned and ran away up a tree, out of sight on confusion and fear. Skye watched the people as they began to go after the beasts in silence. She didn't know what to do as she waited is silence among the brush. She knew just WHAT to do in this kind of situation. She knew what weapons and combat to use, but she didn't know these people and she didn't want to take any chances in accidentally killing the good guys. Skye suddenly sprang from the tree and started to run in the opposite direction of the fight. She made it look like she was running away, but once she was out of site, she did shadow clone jutsu and turned around heading towards the back of the fight. She then found herself face to face with an ogre. The ogre grabbed her wrist and held it tight. She let out an echoing scream as the ogre broke her wrist. Being twelve and a bit small for her age, Skye was useless. She felt her head blank out, and she fainted. ‘Not again,’ she thought as her vision became black. She had run out of too much strength because of her fight she endured before coming to this place. She felt her body go cold and she passed out, for good. 2 Skye started to hear people scream. She stood up to go check it out. Unseen, she watched the scene from afar. The ogres were all gone, it was just the others, now. Squinting her eyes to see, she saw that a fairy was chanting some strange words. Then these others began to shrink. Using her super fast ninja thinking, she lightning fast ran away. But something was stopping her. What was it? Guilt. It was a feeling she was familiar with. She turned around and went to rescue the girl from whatever punishment the fairy was giving out. She stopped and peeked out of a bush waiting for an opportunity. Just then, she saw a female in witch’s attire walked over not too far from her. "Are you...um...ok?" Skye stepped back a bit, feeling confused and lost. ‘Who are these people?’ she thought. "I've been better," the centauress said loosely, now catching her breath. She was down on the ground and wounds covered her body. "Those Ogres are getting smarter. They've never used Bow and Arrows before," she commented, turning her human half around and started pulling out the shafts, wincing and grimacing as she did so. Skye felt alone at that moment in time. Here she was, in a group of strangers, in a place she never even wanted to come to. Tears welled in her eyes as she remembered how she was alone in her life already--when her parents had died. Skye whipped the tears away and turned to look back at the other girls. "Oh," the witch replied with little enthusiasm "Well here, this will help you heal faster," she said handing the centauress a small bottle she pulled from her pouch. "It also helps pain." She then turned to leave but saw Skye crying. "Are you ok?" Skye didn’t reply and as the witch began to walk away, she followed. "Please don't follow me!" she said harshly. Skye leaned bask at the response. Then she ran backwards back on the forest. "I'm so confused," she yelled aloud. "Hey wait!!" the witch yelled, running after her. Skye kept running and bumped right into Kimena, who caught her before she fell. "Calm yourself," she said gently. "You might get hurt by whatever else lurks this forest." 3 Skye lay now, in her bed. Standing not too far from her was the centauress who had repeatedly helped her. Her wrist hurt like heck and all she could do was watch as she healed the fae. ‘I'm so stupid. Jutsu's won't work unless I have two hands,’ she thought to herself. ‘But I should help them. I could at least try, but what?’ Skye stood up and turned to her horse friend. She looked out the window and could see as an elf girl suffered along with a human boy. ‘Their flowers are both wilting,’ Skye thought sadly. ‘Especially the boys.’ She looked back to the centauress. "Y-You're healing the fae, even after all she’s done?" Skye asked. "W-what about the others, are you going to help them?" Skye wobbled as she walked over to the elf and the boy. "D-Do you need help?" Skye asked, not knowing what to say in a time of confusion like this. Even though Skye did not know these people, she knew she shouldn't go about treating them as enemies. The centauress also walked over to them, and held out the same powder she had used on the fae. "Sprinkle this over your wounds and eat some. It'll taste a little bitter, but it'll take the pain away and heal your wounds in about a minute," she explained. She then responded to Skye’s previous question. "Of course," she said simply. "Even after what the Fae’s done, that's no reason to let her suffer. Revenge only brings out the worst in us, so I hold nothing against her." Skye looked at the ground. ‘I guess she's right,’ she thought. "Hey! I forgot to ask, this is the Clashing Lives program right?" Skye suddenly asked, hoping the answer would end her confusion. The fae turned to her for the first time. She was undoubtedly very angry. "You idiot!” she shouted at her. “Did you not see me dying while everyone suppoted them? No one even intervened!” Skye watched the fairy grow anger inside of herself, but she also noticed that the fairy was healed. "You're healed," Skye said. "That's good. Kimena does have healing powers.” Skye ran her tongue along her teeth getting used to using these new names. Skye felt her face stretch into a smile as the elf sat up. She was alright! Then she noticed the fairy look over to the ogres. Skye eyed the ogres as she knew a good ninja would do. All she could see was the remains of cuts and bruises, holes where spears were thrust and the ogres clothing. They had a greenish tint to their skin and they all wore thin, ripped clothing. Eying one of the ogres wrist bracelets, Skye noticed a tattoo, but not knowing what it meant she skipped over it, but Skye began to stiffen into an alert stance just in case. Skye then slowly walked over to the fae and Kimena, who were looking at the ogres with worried looks in their eyes. "W-what's the matter?" she asked, "C-can I help?" Sighing, the fae was getting tired, "Okay this is not going to work how about we do this the easy way." She than turned and ran toward the human and elf Skye had seen before. “Okay, listen, we need to do something about the, ugh, ogres,” Skye heard the fae say. The elf raised an eyebrow. She didn't seem to get angry, she just cut to the chase. "What ogres?" she asked. Rolling her eyes, the fae obviously thought that was the dumbest question in the world. "Um, those ogres?" She pointed the group of ogres that were now coming back to life! Skye cringed in fear and surprise, but quickly recovered and ran over to the fae. "Huh?" The elf looked back and saw the group. She shrieked in surprise. "But they were dead!" she complained. "What do you need us to do?" Skye asked suddenly. "I'm listening." “Well now they're alive so we have to deal with them...somehow,” said the fae. "I'll do my best," Skye said. The human picked up a black metal and somehow turned it into a gun. Using some of the other spare metal laying around, he turned it into ammo. "I hope you guys have a plan," he said clicking the first clip in. The elf flinched at the sound of the gun. She took a deep breath in and looked at the human. "Why are they here? You can't bring anything but elves back to life--that's a fact. How the heck are they standing there?" The human didn’t answer, but instead muttered to himself in almost a barely noticeable volume, "It couldn't be him could it?" Understanding immediately, the Fae’s eyes popped open. "No, not him not him! Oh please, don't let it be him.” She paused and looked to the elf. "Francesca get your science head out of your butt and believe it, things can resurrect, as can you stupid you know dying than living again!" Francesca ignored the fae and turned to the human. "Who?" she asked. "It's highly unlikely but I think it may be my brother who is behind this," he replied. Francesca nodded. "Bad or good thing?” “Bad. Out of anyone I've ever met he was the most sadistic person. That includes the people here," he said, glancing over at the fae, then back to Francesca. She glared to the side at nobody in particular. "Life sucks. Okay, well, maybe not,'' she gave a cute smile to him, "but it'd be nice if life could just calm down for a bit, wouldn't it?" The fae glared. "By the way, anyone smart knows that if you’re unkind to a fae more than twice you get cursed, it's unavoidable, no charms armor or special race/class things to get out of it. Also it's irreversible, even black magic can't get you outta this one. And by the way I’m not sadistic." She had been talking to nobody, for all the human did was sigh and agree with the elf, "Indeed it would. So, why don't we try and make it a little more peaceful?" He aimed his gun at the army and with a flare of fire and sound shot at the back of the neck of one of the ogres. He looked over to Francesca then back at his targets. The fae screamed at the sound of the shot. "I hate humans!” she shouted. "Put that thing away, now!" "Calm yourself, Lunelle," Kimena warned. She turned her head and saw one of the Ogres throw a rock straight for the Fae and pulled her towards her to avoid it. Letting go of Lunelle afterwards, Kimena swiftly pulled out her bow and arrows and shot back, hitting the Ogre square between the eyes. Then it was Francesca’s turn. She must have done something to the ground beneath the monsters before her, because stalagmites rose out of it, killing a few of the ogres. Lunelle cast a blizzard spell she watched as a huge storm wiped out some of them. For a few moments Kimena just stood there, her arms folded and watching the three try to fight the trolls. She only sighed in annoyance and lowered her head. "Are you finished playing yet?" she only asked quietly. Francesca turned and glared at Kimena. "Sarcasm is my thing," she said coolly. "Heh, she’s right. She’s the most sarcastic brat I know," Lunelle said. "Now though I really would like to stay and chat we got a bunch of dead ogres that are going to be resurrected soon on our hands ." "Oh, yes, and you're not a brat at all, Lunelle, you're a perfect angel," Francesca said, proving Lunelle right. "If you two are finished bickering," Kimena sighed. "There is a way to negate the resurrection spell they're under. Unless you wish to sharpen your accuracy skills and continue fighting them?" Francesca glared at Kimena again. "What do you have in mind?" she asked, leaving out the sarcasm thing.
