Only one more class! Also, huge TV and weird dreams.
So I'm going to be up all night finishing this paper, but I'm always up all night, so it's no biggie.
Last night I came home and there was a huge TV sitting in our garage. I helped my dad carry it inside. It is quite heavy. I didn't know they were going to get a TV yet, although I knew my parents were thinking about it. Mom apparently applied some pressure to the saleswoman to get a good deal. Mom can be scary like that sometimes. The cashier in me cringes.
I had a dream that we were at one of the family dinners we always have for holidays on my mom's side of the family. It was kind of like a Day of the Dead thing, except we've never celebrated that before or anything. And both my sister and I knew that my mother was dead, but nobody else in our family knew, and we were trying to keep it from them (especially my father and my grandmother, because my grandmother was still upset over another death). We were also the only ones who knew that my mysteriously non-existent great-uncle Paul was also dead (I love it when I invent random dead relatives for myself in my dreams - yay subconscious!). But my grandmother was talking about ghouls or ghasts or something, and I referred to dementors from Harry Potter, and she knew what they were and agreed that was it (even though what she was talking about was nothing like a dementor...and even though my grandmother knows nothing about Harry Potter). And there was some kind of ceremony/food-giving thing to placate the spirits of the dead, and my sister and I were trying to do something discreetly for our mother and my great-uncle Paul without letting anyone else know that they were dead. All in all, one of my trippier dreams.
The one I had during my nap today was really up there in trippiness, too. My parents and I had moved to Japan (oh no! not another Japan dream!), and we were living in the same apartment complex as Adam and Sarah. I looked in the window of their apartment, and Sarah had kimono hanging everywhere and was dancing around her many kimono in a kimono. My apartment was weird...my parents kind of lived in their own little portion of it, and there was another portion of the apartment with one of my profs and I think her niece (although as far as I know, she has no niece?). And they had a tank full of really exotic fish. As in, fish that looked like pandas. I know my prof has two dogs and now a cat, so this makes no sense. Also, I have no idea why she and her imaginary niece were living with my parents and I. That's just odd. This is what I get for taking a nap after class with said prof, ne?
