The crashing sound of the sea
echoed through the air. we were young, naive, and free;
careless to life's battles and pain.
unaware that hurt overshadows gain.
A cold moment on a hot summer night
would guide the path of destiny
and light fate's light
It was only a quick instant that lasted
the crying. But it is now engraved into
eternity, forever rewinding.
Why aren't you bitter?
why aren't you demanding?
How can you remain so logical?
What sense is there for reasoning?
When pain and agony overshadow the
sun glistening off the sea,
you were the first to arise and say,
"the sun's shadow will fall into the sea, and tomorrow it
will rise, bringing peace to me."
